About us
Training Services NSW is a division within the NSW Department of Education. It is responsible for government-funded vocational education and training (VET) in NSW. Training Services NSW leads strategic policy, planning, funding, regulation and advice on VET to support economic, regional and community development. Training Services NSW is responsible for the implementation of funded programs, including Smart and Skilled, apprenticeships and traineeships and adult and community education. It undertakes contract management of approved Smart and Skilled training providers and implements quality assurance and performance monitoring to achieve the best possible outcomes for students. Our vision Lead, design, and implement a world class vocational education and training system in New South Wales. Objectives 1. LEAD skills development to improve workforce participation and productivity and support NSW economic growth. 2. DESIGN programs and services to meet the employment and skill needs of individuals, employers, regions and communities. 3. IMPLEMENT arrangements to ensure individuals and employers have access to high quality vocational education and training services. State Training Services is part of the NSW Department of Education and Communities.
