This morning, Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government, Jihad Dib, delivered the opening address at the Digital NSW 2024 Showcase at Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney. The theme for this year's Digital Showcase is: "NSW’s Digital Future: Inclusive, Sustainable, Trusted". A major component of NSW's Digital future is the recent release of the NSW Digital Strategy, underpinned by five missions which prioritise accessible, inclusive, secure, and integrated digital services for all people in NSW - so no one is left behind on their digital journey. Lithium-ion batteries can catch fire or even explode if damaged, exposed to heat sources or charged inappropriately. Continuing to charge a lithium-ion battery after it is full increases the risk of it catching fire. Failing to store, maintain, or use batteries correctly also impacts their performance and life.
