Risk Services Australia started the renewables journey, working client side to Brett Poole and SBL Solutions on a major wind project in South Australia back in 2018 and, since then have built a strong partnership based on Australian community values. SBL Solutions has participated in the Australian Wind Construction Forum upon its inception. The forum being a collaboration of industry leaders, engaged in a long-term initiative, formerly known as "Yaamagara", established for a much-needed industry step-change in the globally influenced safety performance on major wind construction projects. Yaamagara, shared objective in building capability into remote projects and establishing baseline in safety performance whilst creating a training pathway for regional and indigenous workers. SBL Solutions in turn has sponsored every event from the inaugural online conference through to last years Wind Safety Summit at the Hilton Sydney. SBL leadership have undertaken alignment workshops with RSA and champion the value in engaging workgroups in-turbine, maintaining best practice in turbines with components that only get larger each year. Supervision & Early Intervention. To be effective at hazard identification and risk control, a field task observation, must occur at a time when either observable incident preconditions exist, or an unsafe behaviour is in progress.  Time in field is therefore a critical component to the success of field hazard inspections. Supervisors and particularly Lead Hands are team members that spend the greatest amount of time with a work crew – providing field supervisors with a superior ability in timely control of health and safety risk. Not only, do they collectively spend more time in the field than any other leadership role, they spend their time with discreet work crews. The supervisor roles are in a unique position to understand the task/s and be present for the longest durations of time.  This equates to a superior value in their ability to prevent incidents and, therefore they should be leaders driving the identification of change and recognising hazards.
