Introduction
 What is Radar?
- Object detecting system
- transmitter producing electromagnetic waves

 The project is based on the Sonar technology and will be using an ultrasonic sensor to determine
the presence of an object in a particular range.

 Designing a simple radar application using Arduino IDE and Processing IDE/
Components Used
Components Used in this project are
o Arduino UNO:
Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino
boards can read inputs – a light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message - and turn it into
an output - activating a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online.
 SG90 Micro Servo Motor:
The SG90 servo is a digital servo motor. It uses some pulse width modulation signal to control its
position and speed, making it all precise and accurate and stuff.

 Ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04):

HC-SR04 stands for High-Conductance ultrasonic sensor, which consists of a transmitter and receiver.
The sensor measures how far things are without touching them, and it uses sound waves to get the
measurements right.
 Jumper Wires:
A jumper wire is an electric wire that connects remote electric circuits used for printed circuit boards. By
attaching a jumper wire on the circuit, it can be short-circuited and short-cut (jump) to the electric circuit.

Software Used:
 Arduino Ide Processing Ide
Working and Circuit Diagram
The programming is done in the Arduino IDE and the radar is displayed using the Processing IDE.
The ultrasonic sensor is mounted on a servo motor which rotates sideways. The sensor scans the area
within its distance (around 200cm far). If there is no object in a specified range let's say that there is
nothing in front of the sensor at about a distance of 40cm then all green lines are displayed on the
radar.
On the other hand, if we place an object within the 40cm range then the sensor detects the object and
that is indicated by the red lines on the radar.
Applications
1. In underwater networks.
2. In driverless vehicle system.
3. In speed detection of moving objects.
4. In various military operations such as to guide automatic weapons.
5. Important part of the air defence system , operation of offensive missiles.
6. For navigation , ship security , remote sensing , space (satillite).
7. Detect and track the target..
