Stainless Steel
SS 316 Ti for strut and MQK brackets. SS 316 for angles, connectors, bases, splices and fasteners
Electro-Deposition Coating
Electro-Galvanized
Carbon steel angles, connectors, bases, splices and fasteners are dipped in a molten zinc bath.
Electro-Deposition Coating or E-Coating uses electricity to deposit a smooth, thin, uniform layer of plastic coating on the surface of the steel channel. The epoxy-coated strut is then cured in an oven at 400 C for 20 minutes. Salt spray (fog) testing has been conducted to verify the performance of the finish the plastic coating was tested 600 hours in a salt spray chamber, in accordance with ASTM B 117-03.
Strut
Manufactured to MFMA-4
According to ASTM A 123 for strut and ASTM A 153 for angles, connectors, bases, splices and fasteners.

Innovative
Because the Hilti MI system does not require welding, worker safety in flame and gas-sensitive areas is improved. In addition, the standardized, modular components bolt together quickly and easily and offer load values equal to or higher than similar welded systems. As the Hilti MI system is modular, setting new layouts around permanent structures is easy. Likewise, existing Hilti MI systems are easily reconfigured to meet your changing needs. Once the new layout is determined, simply unbolt existing components; add, delete or relocate pieces as needed; bolt the new configuration together and apply load. It's that easy! The modular nature of the Hilti MI Industrial Support System helps reduce planning and installation time. Because each piece is light-weight and reusable, there is no need for heavy equipment and nothing needs to be thrown away, adding to overall system efficiency and potential savings to your bottom line.

Girders Girder Connectors Steel Connectors Concrete Connectors
MI-90 and MI-120 girder sizes for medium and heavy duty applications are resistant to horizontal and vertical bending stresses as well as torsion effects. Add light duty System MQ and you have all load classes covered!
Using spaces in the girders, System MI connectors are adjustable by up to 2" on the first installation, and can be fine adjusted by 3/16". All connectors are packaged with fastening parts for convenience.
Connections to steel are made using reliable beam clamps. The base plates are designed to cover a large range of standard steel profiles up to 12". Girder clamping accomodates steel profiles >12".
Concrete connector baseplates can be fastened using a variety of Hilti anchors for the safest hold. Choose from metal and chemical anchors according to loading and base material conditions.
