JAWABAN

Title: Impact of Insufficient Infrastructure on a Country's Economy

Infrastructure serves as the backbone of a country, playing a pivotal role in its economic
development and overall well-being. When a nation lacks adequate infrastructure, such as
damaged roads and inadequate health facilities, it can have profound consequences on its
economy. Firstly, transportation becomes a significant hurdle. Damaged roads hinder the smooth
movement of goods and people, leading to increased transportation costs and delays in the
supply chain. This not only affects businesses but also limits the accessibility of markets,
restricting economic growth.
Insufficient health facilities exacerbate the situation by compromising the well-being of the
workforce. A healthy workforce is crucial for productivity and economic advancement. Without
proper healthcare infrastructure, the prevalence of diseases can increase, resulting in higher
absenteeism and reduced work efficiency. Moreover, the lack of access to quality healthcare can
lead to a cycle of poverty, as families struggle with the economic burden of medical expenses. In
the long term, this can stunt the human capital development of a nation, hindering its ability to
compete globally.
To substantiate this argument, research by the World Bank suggests that investments in
infrastructure, such as roads and healthcare, have a direct correlation with economic growth.
Nations with robust infrastructure experience increased productivity, lower transportation costs,
and improved health outcomes, contributing to a more vibrant and sustainable economy.
Therefore, addressing and investing in infrastructure gaps is imperative for a country to foster
economic development and enhance the quality of life for its citizens.
