WARNING!
CAUTION!
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage electronic circuits. Do not handle any
components without following the necessary ESD precautions. For more details, see
ABB Oy, BAU Drives ESD Directive, codes 59240803 and 59240790. If unavailable,
contact ABB Oy, Drives, Helsinki.
OVERVIEW
This paper gives instructions for hardware board configuration that must
be carried out as the RINT or GINT board is replaced.
ABB Oy RINT GINT AND JINT BOARD 3AFE 6462 7074
Drives Instruction 00186295.DOC
The RINT-xxxx board must be configured for the particular size of converter prior
to replacement. The board has special configuration pads (three current scalings
for U, V and W phases) on the solder side (see figure 1 for RINT5211 and figure
2 for RINT6621). These pads must be connected by soldering according to
tables 1 or 2.

Figure 2. Example of RINT-6621 hardware configuration pads for converter size 0070-7
Pads ringed with a red line in the picture above. NOTE! Size 0070-7 requires no
soldering.
NOTE: Most RINT & JINT boards have the smallest configuration
preselected. If the current scaling pads are connected in the board
layout, the board is preselected to that configuration. Changing the
configuration does NOT need cutting of these pads, only solder the
desired additional pads.
See fig. 3.
The GINT-xxxxC board must be configured for the particular size of converter prior to
replacement. The board has two sets of special configuration pads. There are two current
scalings for V and W phases on input side and three current scalings for U, V and W
phases on inverter side on the solder side (see figure 3 for input side and figure 4 for
converter side). These pads must be connected by soldering according to tables 3 or 4.
Note the orientation of the inverter current scaling pads 70-5, 100-5 and 120-5.
