Branding can help you stand out from your competitors, add value to your offer and engage
with your customers. Branding and design are, to a large extent, inseparable. If design is
the brand, stop thinking of branding and design as distinct disciplines. "It's all about
integrating design and brand," says Doucet.

comparing it with another two similar products. You are supposed to come up with a design
solution using appropriate techniques & processes in-order to take the chosen brand to the
next level.

new similar product which you have rebranded.

research.

3) Challenging your own design ideas, you are supposed to create a very new brand under
similar category (redesigned product) and introduce it to the market to compete with all the
other brands which you researched and redesigned.

Undertake an illustrated investigation of techniques and processes in specific art and design
contexts.
1) You have been commissioned by a gallery to write an analysis of the use of the techniques
and processes employed by two artists exhibiting in their forthcoming show. You are
required to show how these two artists used contrasting techniques and processes to bring
out different qualities of ideas and feelings. Your writing should include wording suitable
for inclusion in exhibition notes for a visitor foldout and for placards placed by the works.

later take part in a group presentation/discussion on their findings to an invited audience.
Your practical work should include and be supported by:
a. Sketchbooks/folders of experimental work with techniques and processes, exploring
materials and visual communication.
b. Development work towards the theme.
c. Final outcomes on the theme.
