    Detailed Lesson Plan in English 1

    I. Objectives:
    At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to do the following with 75%
    accuracy:

    a. Understand the importance of introducing one'


    b. Talk about oneself, one’s family and one’s personal experiences
    c. Develop self confidence in sharing one’s ideas.

    II.SUBJECT MATTER:

    Topic: Talk about oneself, one’s family and one’s personal experiences

    Reference: PIVOT 4A

    Materials: Visual Aids, incentive chart and pictures

    Values integration: Express personal experience in a meaningful way

    III.Procedures:

    A. Preparatory Activities

    1. Opening Prayer

    Everybody please all stand for our prayer. I raised my hands and fold like this bow my
    head and close our eyes and pray (Participating)

    2. Greetings

    Good Morning Children (Good morning, teacher). How are you today? (We’re fine thank
    you) I’m glad to see you (We’re glad to see you too) Thank you (You’re welcome).

    3. Checking of Attendance

    And for checking of attendance Group 1,2,3,4 who is absent ? ( None sir )

    Presenting the classroom rules:

     Listen attentively
     Raise your right hand if you want to answer
    Are we good now? (Yes teacher).

    4. Review

    What was our lesson yesterday? ( Our lesson yesterday is all about ( Cause and Effect Teacher)

    5. Motivation
    What have you see in the picture ( the boy is talking in front of mirror ). What do you
    think he is doing ? ( Talking to his self ).

    B. Presentation

    1. Presentation of topic

    Our topic for today is all about “Talking about oneself, Are you ready to listen? (Yes teacher).

    Talking about oneself is one of the common ways of telling others how well you know yourself.
    It is important in developing your confidence when meeting new people and in making friends.
    Some of the common terms used in introducing oneself are one’s name, age, birthdate, parents,
    members of the family, and home address.

    C. MODELING

    As you can see there is a two kids talking with each other, Do you want to know them? (yes,
    teacher) let us read together to better know them.

    Guided Questions :

    What is the name of the girl in the dialog ? ( Mariah ) How old is Mariah ? ( Seven years
    old ) Where does Mariah live ? ( In Lucena city ). What is the name of the boy in the
    dialog ? ( Kian ) Where does Kian live ? ( in Tayabas City ). Who is the name of Kian’ s
    teacher ? ( Mrs. Decastro ). Very good children! Lets clap our hands.

    D. GUIDED PRACTICE

    Direction: Match the Column A in Column B. Let us help Bea Mae know about herself.
    E. INDEPENDENT PRACTICE

    Job well done children because I saw all of you participating well in my class all of you will
    have a points. The teacher will pick 1 pupils in front to introduce oneself using the common
    terms; name, age, birthdate, parents, members of the family, and home address.

    GENERALIZATION

    Introducing oneself is one of the common ways of telling others how well you know yourself.

    Some of the common terms used in introducing oneself are one’s name, age, birthdate, parents,
    members of the family, and home address.

    CLOSURE/VALUING

    By talking or introducing oneself we can able to connect to people through a meaningful


    communication and create strong bond to people right? (yes teacher Janelle ).
