3. Measuring Conditions
1) The measurement procedure to be in accordance with IMO ResolutionA.468(XII)
in principle except as noted.
2) Operating condition at sea
At CSO condition on official sea trial (Except the condition when ship is
turning or astern).
3) Mechanical ventilation &air conditioning system to be running.
4) All doors &windows to be closed.
5) Vent. louver of the doors to be opened.
6) Measuring point to be at the center of the room and abt. 1, 2m above the floor.
7) The microphone not to be exposed to the wind as far as possible (wind
screen to be used in the windy condition).
4. Others
1) Noise level limits are to comply with IMO Resolution A.468(XII) except open
recreation areas.
2) In the event that measured noise level would exceed more than 3 db(A) from the
limits, necessary countermeasure to be made to an extent mutually agreed between
the Owners and the Builder.
3) When noise level is fluctuating, visual average level to be taken as the measured
data.
4) Calibration of the instrument to be carried out before the measurement in
compliance with the manufacturer's instruction.

3) Evaporation capacity to be measured by the tempolary feed flow meter

4) During the test, setting pressure of steam dumping valve (HS540V)
shall be set to 0. 59MPa.
5) During the test, the burner control shall be set to manual position.

(1) Method of Operation

While the ship is running at MCO, the boiler stop valve to be closed
under full firing condition, to confirm the boiler pressure is not to
exceed 10% of the design pressure.
The duration of the accumulation test is to be 7 minutes.

While the ship was running at M.C.O. condition

all supply valves to be closed under full firing condition
