I am glad to introduce myself. My name is Sukhraj kaur w/o Pardeep Singh I was born on
09/06/1990. I belong to Punjab and holding an Indian Passport numbered- N4496584.
After completing the bachelors I joined PIMS Medical and Education Charitable Society I am
working here as a Staff Nurse from May 2016 to till present. After getting an ample of
experience as a Staff Nurse, but my career growth is not satisfactory. The salary I drew was
good but I did not get position. I always aspire to work at higher position and there I can handle
responsibilities. I was not satisfied but had to continue it bearing my commitment to it
Therefore, I thought it is a start of my journey towards my brighter future but as the days
passed I realized the need of more deep knowledge with some more exposure if i wanted to
take a step forward towards my better future. Thus, I discussed with my family and spouse or I
started my research on the process. I have to go through in order to achieve my goal; it has to
start by pursuing my higher education. Since then I started exploring, which course will be
suitable for me, keeping in mind my previous studies and my future plan. In order to study in
overseas, I appeared for IELTS on 23.03.2019 and scored an overall band of 6.0 with no band
less than 5.5. During searching on internet, I found a program - Public Health and Health
Promotion, I decide to pursue my Master in Public Health and Health Promotion from Bangor
University, UK. I chose this program after knowing the benefits to doing this. It was very clear in
my terms that I want to explore higher study options in this sector only.
Quality of education is important for me. During my studies, I realized that India Education
System has many flaws. To begin with the flaws of Indian education system the first on that
comes in my mind is India`s well know old and traditional style of teaching. No attempt has
been made as such to modernize the system where technology plays more roles. Also, instead
of providing practical knowledge; students are just end cramming what they are told by
teachers which serves no purpose at the end. Last but not the least, country of billions, India
has only few excellent institutions. These institutes have huge number of seats reserved for
specific students that belong to a certain caste. This reservation system is blindly put into
practice by government and someone with more skills does not get admission while that
student deserves more. I have decided to upgrade myself with a further master degree and
make myself ready for the new challenges in the industry. I want practical and professional
knowledge. This is the reasons for me to choose UK and I am satisfies with my decision.
I chose UK because it is a well-recognized country in the world for their top education system
and its degree is highly accepted all over the world, including Punjab. UK has education
standards that rank amongst the highest in the world. UK has strong economic and cultural ties.
I choose to study there because degrees are internationally recognized. I will have global
opportunities. Universities in UK offer a wide variety of courses to meet each and every
student's requirements.
I am always attracted to study in UK because of its highly academic environment, safe and
amiable society, quality assured education, multicultural environment. For this reason UK has
been an academic gateway for international students as well. UK’s standard of living is amongst
the highest in the world. There is also possibility of scholarships, which can help to lower the
cost of studying in UK for international students like me. So I decided to study in UK to pursue
my higher educational goal. My sole reason for going UK is to get the best education
I was in search of a platform which would not only give me a chance to experience the
international study life, it also provide an opportunity to grab the outer exposure as well
because this is what international student life is all about.
This decision was very important because my future depends on the University I choose, So,
after spending good amount of time on internet and surfing the reviews, rankings, course
structure about universities in UK. I researched about Bangor University This university
provides skills and confidence to students that need to excel in our studies and our chosen
career. Studying at this University provides students with a rich and diverse academic and social
experience set amongst a uniquely UK campus renowned. Teaching faculties in this University
are excellent, experienced and up-to-dated. University is excellent in all the area of education. I
also like the course content of this university. University is among well-known universities of UK
and focus on excellent and advanced learning. This University offers an outstanding level of
support to its international students and is committed to their academic and personal success.
Upon my research, this university increased senses of safety are just some of the advantages of
living and studying in UK. It’s offering various courses and has been a leader in providing quality
education over the years. University is a vibrant, forward-thinking, innovative university where
you can move forward in my chosen career. I am assured to study the most advanced
curriculum. I am sure that learning this course will add a lot of other skills in my pot as apart
from the theoretical studies, I will also have a chance to learn a lot of other skills from my
classmates that may come from various different backgrounds. The University education
offering this program itself will provide opportunities that will give me an edge in this field.
On moving back to India, I would like to work with reputed organizations in India like AIIMS,
Fortis, Appollo, Tata Memorial Hospital, etc wherein I can inculcate my knowledge to frame
better policies which can in turn help individuals live a healthy and prolonged life. While
working with such organizations I would be able to draw an annual pay of around INR 8 to 10
lakhs which will help me in gaining back my primary investment and later support my life
This program will help me to further develop my skills, build specialist knowledge within chosen
area and accelerate my career. I am sure about my career goal and I straight way walked
towards the direction of my dreams. Getting paid for what you do and love is the most
satisfying thing in one’s life and I am lucky enough for making a right choice while doing my
studies.
I will also have the option to get the initial exposure in NGO which are active in Health area and
then I can move upright to claim a good opportunity in big hospitals. I am very optimistic, I will
get to learn a lot about their healthcare system which is much more advanced than our system
and I can use this knowledge when I return to India.

Sukhraj Kaur
