The principle purpose of the job is to facilitate infectious diseases undergraduate teaching.

are attached to the Infectious Diseases team. The CEF takes part in all aspects of provision of
undergraduate infectious diseases education at Wythenshawe Hospital, including coordination
of weekly placement inductions and scheduled teaching as well as group tutoring and one-to-

benefit. The Fellow will support the students clinically and be directed towards their
educational benefit rather than purely service delivery during educational time whilst with the
students. The educational aspect of the role will be supervised by Dr. Riina Richardson. The

to contribute to research potentially leading to publications. The clinical aspect of the role will
be supervised by Dr Rohit Bazaz.
The average working week is a maximum of 44 hours with no on-call commitments. The hours
spent on educational and clinical components vary throughout the year. Overall, approximately
50% of the workload will be educational. During intense teaching periods most of the post
holder’s commitments will be educational whereas outside these periods they will be mostly
clinical. Annual and study leave must be arranged in consultation with the Lead of the ID team
