I. Objectives
Topic: Contemporary Art Forms and Practices in the Philippines: Nationwide and
Luzon

III. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
Check the attendance of the students.
Ask the students to clean their areas and arrange their chairs properly.
Let the students sit properly and prepare for the lesson.
C. Presentation
What are the art forms and practices in the Philippines nationwide and Luzon that
you know?
D. Application
Group Activity: Group the students into eight (8). Assign one region to each group.
Each group will select from the many art forms and practices posted on the board
which they think are from the region assigned to them. They will be guided by the
descriptions of the art forms and practices of the region assigned to them. The
descriptions are written in a booklet which will be given to them.
Let the students present and describe the different art forms and practices
(artworks) from nationwide and Luzon.
Based on the several art forms and practices from the Philippines nationwide and
from the different regions in Luzon, ask them the following questions:
1. How do you describe the art forms and practices in Luzon?
2. Do they have similarities and differences?
3. What are their similarities and differences?
E. Generalization
What is the importance of the art forms and practices of the different regions in
Luzon to their people?
Let the students summarize the ideas presented and learned in the lesson through
this activity:
