EXPLORE (5 minutes )

The student’s will explore through the video presentation .

I .The teacher will capture the student’s interest by showing a story video on different
forms of energy.
The story video titled “MR. ENERGY”.
2. The teacher di^httHendiu^ent’s, whakaestfiechighfc^yted words from the story.
-Heat Energy -Mechanical Energy
-Sound Energy-Chemical Energy
EXPLAIN
1. Light Energy - is the term of energy that enebles us to see. The moin source of
light ond eorth is the sun. Light energy is used in comero to copture imoges. It is
olso use in traffic light to help to control the flow of traffic.
2. Heot Energy - it is o form of energy thot result the movement of tiny porticles
colled otoms, molecules ond etc. The ultimate source of heot for earth is from
the sun, other sources of heat energy are burning cuts of woods, a hot cup of
coffee and a conventional oven. Heat Energy is necessary for the existence of
life on Earth. It is an essential form of energy on our day to day activities like,
cooking, heating, ironing and many more.
3. Sound Energy- it is a form of energy travels in waves. It is produced when a
material vibrates rapidly. It is the energy that we can hear. It used in many
industries such as in medical fields like in performing ultrasound treatment. It is
also used in exploring minerals and petroleum oil.
4. Electrical Energy - it is a form of energy thot comes from the flow of electricol
power. It con be generated by dry cell or a bottery, generator, wind turbine,
solor cells, hydroelectric plant, geothermal plants and even animal dropping
other example of using electrical Energy in light bulb and electronic devices.
5. Mechanical Energy-is a combinotion of the energy of motion ond position.
Forexomple a moving boll con hove energy from motion. Mochines use
mechonicol energy to do work. Also onimols use mechonicol energy to do work.
As when birds fly ond fishes swim. Human also use mechanical energy to do
work like playing volleyball and riding a bicycle.
6. Chemical Energy-it is a form of energy in all substances. Which is stored in the
bonds of chemical compounds. Food is the most important source of chemical
energy. Other sources ate baking soda, vinegar, and batteries. People invented
ways to use chemical substances to power machines. For example, the
chemical energy inside the substance in the battery can be transformed into
electrical energy to power the flashlight

Energy is the power or ability to do work. It comes in different forms such as

light, heat, sound, mechanical, electrical, and chemical energy. Energy comes
from different sources such as natural resources like the sun, object vibrations,
wind, and water or it can be generated from manmade objects like machines
and batteries.
It is important to use and conserve energy wisely.
