    Context
    Should the rising popularity of women’s football mean
    an increase in salary?
    Yes, it definitely means that women's football is getting a lot of recognition these
    days. It should mean that they will be getting a rise in their salary. This really
    makes sense because the more people who watch the program, the more
    money and fame the player gets.

    What Do You Think?


    “The women’s game has come a long way and it would
    be hard to deny any of the players in this tournament a
    pay rise when they return to their clubs. They’re now
    internationally famous and close to, if not more than, a
    billion viewers worldwide have seen them compete on
    the international stage. It would be a good step toward
    equality if women were paid as much as men.”

    “While pay equality would be ideal, there are too many


    factors that influence salaries. Sponsorships, advertising
    deals and ticket sales dictate wages and until the
    audience is there and the women’s game pulls in as
    many sales, advertising deals and views on TV, there will
    be an unfortunate difference in pay.”
    Who do you agree with? Why?
    The point made by the first person is reasonable and that is what all the woman
    football community and the audience wish for. But the ironic truth is the
    statement from the second person. The salary of the players are basically judged
    by sponsorship, ads, and viewership of the show.

    Do you think women and men should have
    equality of pay in football?
    In my opinion, yes. Because, Being equal has been an important thing in our
    society. We already have boycotted the discrimination of women not to go to
    schools or not go outside their homes. Then, why not make things like a simple
    paycheck for women players simple ?

    Do you think that footballers broadly earn too


    much money?
    Yes. In my opinion, footballers earn a lot of money. Many players aren't nice to
    the money they get. They just use it for bad things. But other players like messi
    are donating a lot of money to charity and other developmental things.

    Should prize money for women and men’s


    tournaments be identical?
    Yes. Because, making things equal will reduce the distinction between the male
    and female. I will also stop the growth of ego and desire among male and female
    players about their salary. This topic has been talked about for over a decade. I
    hope that this disparity will be resolved ASAP.
