CANCER SCREENING

INTRODUCTION

We the M.sc 2nd year, Community health nursing students of MTPG & RIHS visited the
Puducherry cancer trust hospital and research centre as a part of our curriculum on

Puducherry Cancer Trust is a genuine, generous idea to serve Cancer patients all over
India. It is an institution built with the research and tireless efforts of Dr. M.A.S. Subramanian
and Dr. V. Jeevanandham. Their consistent and revolutionary aim and objective for the
prestigious establishment has provided recognizable eminence to the trust. It is located in
M.A.Shanmugam Sengeni Ammal Square, South River Bank Road, Nonankuppam , Puducherry-

Sprout out to reach each individual in need as a Hospital to provide Transparent, Holistic
and Affordable treatment for cancer. Also, to work and create awareness about cancer to aid
early detection and complete cure

MISSION

The best we do every single day is to encourage people not just live but to laugh, love
and relish every moment of their life. Remind every individual to rediscover them.

WHAT IS SCREENING

 Cancer screening aims to detect cancer before symptoms appear


 This may involve blood tests, urine tests, other tests, or medical imaging
 The benefits of scrreening in terms of cancer prevention early detection and
subsequent treatment must be weighed against any harms
