A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CREATION AND INSTITUTIONALIZATION

OFN THE BARANGAY HEALTH BOARD OF BARANGAY JUGNO, AMLAN,
NEGROES ORIENTAL
WHEREAS, the Barangay Health Board is a special body created by virtue of Republic Act
No. 7160 whose main duty is to guarantee equitable, sustainable and quality health for all,
especially the poor;
NOW THEREFORE, I LUZ A SIENES, Barangay Chairperson of Barangay Jugno, Amlan,

by virtue of the powers vested in me, by law, do hereby order that the Barangay Health Board
(BHB) be created and institutionalized.
SECTION 1. COMPOSITION. THE BARANGAY HEALTH BOARD (BHB) SHALL BE

COMPOSED OF THE FOLLOWING:

SECTION 2. Powers and Functions. The Barangay Health Board shall
a. Propose to the Barangay Council, in accordance with the standards and

criteria set by the Department of Health (DOH), Provincial Health Office, and
the Municipal of Amlan, annual budgetary allocation for the operation and
services in the Barangay.
b. Serve as an advisory committee to the Barangay Council with regards to the
formulation of Health related Policies and other health related matters.
c. Develop Community-based health and sanitation programs and projects.
d. Propose to the Chairman and Barangay Council the undertaking of
programs and projects in support of the overall health thrust of the national,
provincial, and municipal government.
SECTION 3. Meetings and Quorum
a. The Barangay Health Board shall meet at least once a month or as often as
may be necessary.
b. A majority of the members of the Board shall constitute a quorum, but the
Chairman of Committee on Health must be present during meetings where
budgetary proposals are being prepared or considered. The affirmative vote of
majority of the members shall be necessary to approve such proposals.
SECTION 4. Compensation and Remuneration- The Chairman, Committee on Health

and members of the Barangay Health Board shall perform their duties as such without
compensation or remuneration.
SECTION 5. Repealing Clause. All other order, issuances and memoranda issued
inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed or modify accordingly.
SECTION 6. Effectivity. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

NOW THEREFORE, In motion of Kag. Marivic S. Tagbar and seconded by all
council members present.
RESOLVED FURTHER, a copy of this resolution be furnished to all agencies

concerned for information.
UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED this 21st day of January 2020 regular session of

Barangay Jugno, Amlan, Negros Oriental.
