Republic Act No. 8525 otherwise known as the Adopt-a-

(School Brigade) which is a National Schools Maintenance Week
that aims to bring together stakeholders to participate and
contribute their time, effort and resources to prepare the school for
the opening of school year.
Brigada Eskwela, also known as the Bayanihan Para sa
Paaralan is another concept of unity for Filipinos. The aforesaid
program provides us an image of people from different sectors of
society public-private partnership of volunteerism to improve the
public schools. School heads take the lead in planning the
activities on making the school environmentally resilient, clean and
conducive to learning. Parents, teachers, community members,
local government officials, non-government sectors/private
sectors, and different church congregations worked together to
prepare public school facilities for the opening of the School year
in June.
The program is annually implemented two weeks before
classes commence, that leads to accomplish necessary classroom
repairs, campus painting and beautification, as well as cleaning of
surroundings to ensure safety among clienteles. Furthermore, it
aimed to provide a good school environment so that the learners
will be motivated to be in school every day to learn.

frequent earthquakes and typhoons visit, and sometimes for fire
incidents too. The preparations were not for the everyday hazards
prevention purposes only but as well as for the disaster
preparedness of schools nationwide. The community,
stakeholders, parents, and the school personnel worked hand-in-
hand in realizing this advocacy. Different groups both from private
