🏆 Congratulations to Linneborn Prize 2024 Winner, Professor Solange I Mussatto
Solange I. Mussatto has been working in the areas of #biomass conversion, #biorefinery and deployment of sustainable biobased technologies for over 25 years.
In the academic aspect, her efforts have yielded more than 650 publications in prestigious journals, patents, books, chapters and conference proceedings. She has also mentored over 100 students in the areas of biomass conversion, biorefineries and bio-based technologies, which highlight her commitment to fostering future talent in this critical field. Furthermore, Solange I. Mussatto research has positioned her among the most cited researchers worldwide, ranking her in the top 1% of the best researchers in the world, and the number one in Denmark in her scientific field.
Since 2017, Solange I. Mussatto has been involved in the IEA Task 42 on Biorefineries (She is the country representative in Denmark), which also shows her dedication to promoting international cooperation in advancing biorefinery technologies.
Solange I. Mussatto recent research efforts includes pioneering studies to use CO2 for biomass conversion – an innovative initiative that has attracted significant interest from large companies, including leading enzyme and ethanol producers. By exploring new ways to use CO2, she is driving innovation towards a more sustainable and resource-efficient future.
