About us
Oakland County’s Workforce Development Division serves as the Oakland County Michigan Works! Agency and administers a variety of workforce programs and services on behalf of Oakland County Executive David Coulter and the Oakland County Workforce Development Board. In partnership with employers, educators, economic developers and community organizations, our mission is to lead in the creation of a qualified workforce that meets the current and future talent needs of the county’s businesses. Oakland County Michigan Works! is a proud partner of the American Job Center Network and operates the six Michigan Works! locations in Novi, Oak Park, Pontiac, Southfield, Troy and Waterford. Each day, they assist more than 1,200 people with a broad range of free services to help them secure career opportunities. In addition, we work with more than 3,000 employers annually to help them attract talent across the job spectrum.
