We are looking for an Executive Director to join our team to support a dynamic community of science educators across Australia inspiring future scientists and citizens.

We provide leadership and promote excellence in science education. With a 70 year rich and deep history of supporting science teachers across Australia, we are the national body bringing together a federation of state science teachers associations who support science educators through the provision of teacher professional learning, providing a bridge between real world science and the classroom, and operating as a collective voice for science teachers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a permanent full-time position of Executive Director. The Executive Director will have strong leadership skills and a vision to lead and manage the activities of the Association into the future. Leadership experience in either a school setting, an educational sector office, or a not-for-profit association are essential for this position.

The Executive Director will work closely with the Executive and the Board to provide exemplary service to the membership of the Association nurturing a cohesive and collaborative culture. Working remotely, they will manage and lead a small office team in the delivery of our Strategic Plan. The ability to develop funding partnerships to realise our strategic visions will be regarded highly.
