Memorial Day - 2023

As we gather with friends and family this Memorial Day, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this holiday; to honor the men and women who have sacrificed so much in service to our country.

For many Americans, Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer, marked by grilling out with a side of splashing in the pool. And that’s great.

But before any festivities begin, I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the real reason for Memorial Day — honoring the men and women who have given their lives to protect our freedom.

It can be an especially difficult time for veterans and families of service members who have lost loved ones from war. To them, we offer our deepest condolences.

We are incredibly grateful to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and I know that you are, too. So I hope you enjoy this time with your family and friends — and take a moment to remember.

Sincerely,
