A NEW KIND OF HOLIDAY CAMPAIGN FROM CHARLOTTE TILBURY Charlotte Tilbury’s “The Charlotte Tilbury Show”brings something refreshing to this holiday season, a campaign that’s all about confidence, kindness, and giving back. Here’s what makes this campaign stand out: 1. It’s launching on World Kindness Day (November 13) and Charlotte Tilbury will donate all profits from the sales of its iconic Magic Cream to The King’s Trust. This UK-based foundation provides educational and employment opportunities to young people. It’s inspiring to see beauty brands creating impact beyond the product. ❤️ 2 . Charlotte’s message this season is about finding confidence within us. "Dare to dream it, dare to believe it, dare to do it," she says. The campaign’s lineup of inspiring personalities, from Kate Moss to Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, reminds us that beauty is about embracing our unique qualities and talents. 3. The campaign encourages us all to celebrate who we are and express ourselves fully. This feels like a lovely reminder that beauty isn’t just about how we look, it’s also about how we feel. This holiday season, consider ways to celebrate your own unique confidence. This campaign is a wonderful example of how beauty can inspire us to look beyond appearances and invest in a sense of purpose. #CharlotteTilbury #HolidayCampaign #Confidence #BeautyWithPurpose #Education #Empowerment #LinkedInCommunity

Juneteenth is a holiday that I only came to be aware of in the last several years and I'm more than a little embarrassed to admit that is the case. In thinking about commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, I realized I wasn't exactly sure how best to celebrate our newest and incredibly important national holiday. With that in mind and with a little help from the internets, I found some ideas of how to celebrate Juneteenth and I thought I'd share them here, if you're curious like me. Educate Yourself and Others: Learn about the history and significance of Juneteenth. Share this knowledge with your network, or organize a discussion or book club focused on African American history and culture. Support Black-Owned Businesses: Make a concerted effort to purchase from Black-owned businesses, whether it’s a restaurant, bookstore, clothing store, or online shop. Attend Local Events: Many communities host parades, festivals, and other events to celebrate Juneteenth. Attending these events can be a great way to connect with others and learn more about the holiday. Volunteer: Give back to the community by volunteering with organizations that support racial justice and equality. This can be a powerful way to honor the spirit of Juneteenth. Donate: Consider donating to charities and organizations that work towards racial justice, education, and empowerment for the African American community. Reflect and Discuss: Take time to reflect on the progress made since Juneteenth and the work that still needs to be done. Engage in conversations about racial equality and how to support ongoing efforts. Read and Share Literature: Read books by African American authors or about African American history and share them with others. This can be a great way to deepen understanding and appreciation for the culture and experiences. Watch Films and Documentaries: There are many films and documentaries that highlight African American history and the significance of Juneteenth. Watching these can be both educational and inspiring. If you do a search for Juneteenth on most streaming platforms, they'll provide a lot of options. Participate in Art and Culture Activities: We are very fortunate to have the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History here in Detroit and if you ever have a chance if/when you are in DC make it a point to get to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, it is incredible. Today is a great opportunity to honor the significance of Juneteenth and hopefully we can all contribute to a broader understanding and appreciation of African American history and culture. #Juneteenth #CelebrateFreedom #SupportBlackOwnedBusinesses #RacialJustice #CommunityEngagement #socialjustice #economicjustice

Even if your events are your biggest programs of the year, it’s unlikely that ALL of your association members can attend in-person. But, it’s safe to say that almost all (if not all) of your members are online. 💻 So online communities are perfectly positioned to help you meet members where they are. "We think about our members all the time, but they're not always thinking about us - they think about us when they need us. So we need to meet them where they’re at when they have a need or are looking for connection and make sure we have an option for them.” Higher Logic customer Diana Tavares Mertz, CAE from the American Staffing Association joined us on an episode of the Member Engagement Show to share all the ways their 10-year-strong online community has improved member engagement, volunteerism, and more. 🎧👇 Tune in for tips on: - Keeping long-time communities fresh and engaged. - Orienting members to your community. - Realizing your community’s value across your organization --- #associations #memberengagement #community

We're ending the week with a pair of opportunities that are still open with Five Counties Children's Centre. One is urgent, so please take a look. Five Counties Children's Centre was founded by Rotary members who saw a need for a close clinic where children with disabilities could get treatment and therapy without parents/ caregivers driving to Toronto. Nearly 50 years later, the client list is in the six-thousands, with over 2000 wait-listed . With numbers like that, you can see how fundraising events are very important. Their Backyard Summer Social is coming up on the 22nd and they need help with set-up, operations, and tear-down. Because it's an adult-oriented event, the volunteers must be over 19 yrs old. The event is in the backyard of the centre, and accessible by public transit. And there will be snacks! We'll give you the event recruitment link right now so that you can contact Maddie: https://buff.ly/3Vge4XH If you're more of a sit-down-and-chat kind of person (or are busy on the 22nd) there is also a need for Donation Thankyou Callers. It's pretty much as described. People send money to Five Counties and bi-weekly for a couple of hours, you call those nice people back to thank them for that very important donation. And if you're unable to afford a donation yourself, this is a way you can contribute more than money. It's a remote opportunity and time-flexible. You will need a basic police check for this one, NOT the Vulnerable sector screening. This listing is on our Opportunities page. Five Counties is a vital part of our community, especially for anyone who has a disabled child in their care. Supports for these children help them thrive and grow, and shatter barriers themselves. See how you can help today. #CommunityBuilding #Inclusion #FUNdraising #ThankYou #SummerFun

With election season in full swing, nonprofit fundraisers face unique challenges. Key considerations include maintaining sensitivity to audience preferences and providing relevant content that offers a break from political overload. Other factors: ◽️ Diversifying content with non-political stories that inspire and connect beyond daily headlines. ◽️ Reinforcing brand values through authentic cause marketing that reflects genuine support. ◽️ Ensuring consistent messaging throughout the election season to strengthen your organization’s voice. ◽️ Keeping a long-term focus on building lasting relationships, even amidst the political climate. Messaging now should build connections that resonate long after election season ends and engagement that outlasts the political cycle. #NonprofitMarketing #FundraisingStrategy #ElectionSeason #ActionableInsights #obriengarrett

If you are a brand posting about how much you appreciate women this month, it would be dope if you put your money where your mouth is for Ashe Lounge. Donating free weed to our events is not the support we need anymore. That means you want us to include you in signage, professional photos, design social media assests for you, constantly post about you, get clicks for your website and give you access to 100 consumers for free. And no, you can’t bring a vendor table and lanyards. Our events are about actually connecting with the consumer. Join them at a table and smoke them out and talk about your product organically. People don’t want to go to events just to be sold and marketed to. Our events are about human connection and good vibes. We are not your brand ambassadors. We are looking for long term partners that believe in our mission and want to see us get there. PAY US to produce these events that your team gets to be a part of. I’ve seen event sponsorships for $20,000 get funded. Our sponsorships range from $500-$2,500. (And we aren’t paying ourselves. All money is going to women and minority owned vendors for the event.) Happy womens month or whatever. 😂
