There is some exciting news from Adobe Max 2024 about Sneaks. These are glimpses of what Adobe engineers and research scientists are working on beyond key Adobe apps. They might not be made into a final product, but in the past they have influenced new features. Here are some of this years Sneaks: Project Perfect Blend: easily drop a person or object into an existing image, using AI to make it look natural with advanced blending, colour and lighting matching. Project Clean Machine: remove unwanted flashes and objects from photos and videos, blending light and colour to match the original and recovering lost details. Project Know How: track the original source of photos and videos, even without identifying metadata, using a Chrome web extension. Project Super Sonic: generate perfect sound effects with simple text prompts or by clicking objects in videos, blending them into the audio track. Imagine typing a prompt like "metallic sci-fi spaceship with glowing blue accents" (which I did) and instantly seeing it come to life in 3D! This feature opens up endless possibilities for rapid prototyping, conceptualizing, and even just playing around with new ideas without needing to manually build models from scratch. It's an innovative tool that empowers professionals to turn imagination into reality faster than ever. Here are some highlights: Efficient Workflow: Get a base model quickly and fine-tune it in Substance's rich ecosystem. Rapid Iteration: Experiment with different styles and textures just by updating your text prompts. AI-Enhanced Creativity: Perfect for brainstorming and trying out concepts during the early stages of design. For those of us in the creative space, this is an incredible leap forward in how we approach model creation. Adobe MAX 2024 went live this week, and there’s nothing quite like being surrounded by thousands of other designers. As the largest conference of its kind, the creative energy is unmatched. Of course, Generative AI stole the show. Here are a few standout features from the keynote: • 🧠 Distraction Removal in Photoshop (live) — an extension to the already powerful Generative Fill. Effortlessly clean up your images with just a click. • 🎬 Object Selection in Premiere Pro (future-beta) — say goodbye to old-fashioned rotoscoping. This new feature dramatically streamlines mask tracking/animation. Both of these are massive time savers that will speed up workflows! One especially exciting reveal was Generative AI Text-to-Video (and image-to-video!) coming to Firefly (live-beta). It’s the only generative AI video model that’s commercially safe because it’s not trained by scraping the internet … another showcase of how Adobe truly thinks about creators. It's all about augmenting the creative process, not replacing it. But the moment that had me saying “wow” out loud? 🚨 Generative Extend (live-beta) in Premiere. It's been a great day to MAXimize my potential with my fourth virtual Adobe Max. Here are my thoughts from day 1. ▪️After spending fully half of the keynote talking about AI, I think it's safe to say that we can expect more program integration and features in the future. ▪️There was quite a bit of time spent talking about AI content authenticity initiatives, but it is unclear how other platforms and regulations will address this moving forward. ▪️Huge focus on video and motion content, with some pretty big updates to Premiere (object selection for mask tracking!!), and the launch of Firefly video. ▪️Adobe gets 3D with Project Neo, a web based 3D modeler. ▪️Adobe Gen Studio provides an opportunity to manage and collaborate on marketing campaigns, assets and more. I will be looking forward to trying this out myself. ▪️And lastly, nothing is more thrilling than Aaron Draplin mentioning PA dutch hex signs while talking about simplicity and math in design.
