With the update to #Firefly3, Adobe is now seamlessly integrating #GenAI into #Photoshop, redefining how we use the software. What is Abobe FireFly? Adobe Firefly is Adobe AI’s generative form to endow the creative process with AI to support improved results. As the new generation of visual content design tools, it was launched in 2023 to assist designers, artists, and marketers. Some of the major components are converting the text description to images, allowing the user to input what they want the application to show, and getting the application to display pictures that have descriptions that are related to the input. They also enhance effective creative work as they address a way of making quick proof of concept and concept testing without requiring many graphic inputs. It also effortlessly integrates with Adobe’s primary programs like Photoshop and Illustrator, amplifying the functions of this software through the implementation of AI supplemental services for text effect generation, style modifications, and new design elements. For example, users can draw using multiple art styles by focusing the input or creating detailed patterns, reducing the time for the detailed work. Furthermore, Adobe Firefly has a rather limited and specific scope of operation, and its main goal is the sovereignty of a user, with some options that could be tweaked to lean towards the user’s side. This makes it possible to perform successive modifications and improvements to the generated outcomes to increase their correspondence to the user’s vision. 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐛𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐲 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 Adobe has introduced the Structure Reference feature in Adobe Firefly, their generative AI tool, enabling users to guide AI image creation using existing images. Structure Reference allows users to effortlessly transform drawings, redesign rooms, reimagine logos, and precisely colourize images. This feature, combined with Style Reference, offers enhanced creative control over both structure and style, streamlining workflows for creators. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐓𝐨 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐈𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐱 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 🟠 Go to the Adobe Firefly web app and select Text to Image. 🟠 Enter a prompt or choose a gallery image and then select Generate. 🟠 In the General section of the Firefly control panel, select  Firefly Image 2 as the Model version. 🟠 Expand the Structure option to view the options to upload a reference image or select one from the existing gallery. 🟠 Use the Strength slider to control the amount of adherence to the reference image when generating the image variations.  🟠 Select Generate. The new feature emphasises predictability, consistency, and ease of use, catering to users of all skill levels. Ok, so AI in Design has really been a bit of a hit and miss affair, filled with weird hallucinations and unpredictable outputs. In fairness however, Adobe and Canva's AI tools already execute functions that couldn't have been dreamed about only a few years back. But seemingly everyday, new features are being launched that make the design process faster and more flexible - I cant wait to try this out and see what comes next.
