Why is Adobe Set to Dominate AI Design? Back in August 2023, when I pitched a campaign for a shoe brand, AI tools like Midjourney and DALL-E were all the rage. But instead, I chose Adobe Firefly—and the results spoke for themselves. The visuals were spot-on, the project ran smoothly, and the experience made me realize Adobe’s AI has serious staying power. Today, as an artist, I’m convinced Adobe will outshine other AI tools. With Photoshop, Illustrator, and just a bit of aesthetic sense, Adobe’s suite feels more like a creative partner than a tool. Firefly and the Scribble feature, for example, don’t just generate designs—they bring precise compositions to life, exactly as envisioned. In an era where demand for quality AI-driven design is surging (just look at the wait times on Firefly), Adobe’s approach feels refreshingly grounded. 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐀𝐈 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐛𝐞 A couple of weeks have passed since the Adobe MAX exhibition, here is a review of new features with a focus on GenAI Photoshop 1. Firefly 3. Generates better pictures. Used in Generative Fill and almost everything that comes after. 2. Project Clean Machine. Cleans pictures from all artifacts. Selects artifacts automatically. 3. Substance 3D. You can open 3D files, rotate them, rotate and change both materials and lighting. 4. Generative Work Space. Built-in Midjourney interface. You can generate pictures. 5. Project Concept. Cool reference search engine based on AI. In addition, you can mix pictures by a whole list of parameters: style, background, color, lighting and object. You can specify what you like in the reference picture, and then mix them with a slider. There is also real-time generation with moving images like in Krea. Premiere Pro / After Effects 6. Firefly Video and Generative Extend. You can extend the clip for a couple of seconds. Why? 7. Project Super Sonic. We have not seen anything like this before. Generates audio effects based on a voice sketch. In short, you growl into the microphone with your thin voice, and at the output you get a dragon's roar. It will be fun to play around with. (The demo is shown in the video in this post) Illustrator 8. Gen Shape Fill. Generative Fill for Illustrator. You make a shape sketch, and it fills it in and adds details. 9. Rotatable Vectors. A bit of a brain-breaker — SVGs (2D vectors) are spinning! Why — I don't know, just draw something normal right away, right? Although it looks cool. 10. Layout Variations. Not only was the poster drawn from a sketch by hand, but then they also pulled it in all directions, changing the aspect ratio, and the poster itself adjusts. Convenient! Some of the tools are already available on the Adobe website (https://lnkd.in/eYe7CvJK), but it is unclear when most will be released. Overall, it is quite interesting. Of course, some of the solutions have been in open source for a year, but here a leap in quality is noticeable and they even showed a couple of new features. #AI #Future #technology #adobe
