Hey #management- this is your sign to Boost Employee Wellbeing! Healthy staff are able to show up as their best selves for their vocations, the people they serve, and everyone they work with. But, let's be honest- being an adult is stressful! Employees have many responsibilities and obligations coming at them from all directions, inside and outside of work. Life is constantly life'ing, demands are always present, and family obligations are often endless, which can create stress in people's lives. When this stress accumulates, it can lead poor work performance, as cognitive functioning, decision-making, required attention and patience levels are all negatively affected. This, can then lead to errors, burnout and conflict in the workplace. I believe that there is a moral obligation to help ensure people's wellbeing at work. It is also very beneficial for the company, school or organization, with positive effects on work performance, relationships, and staff engagement. Nurture Employee Wellbeing is a one-time, 1-2 hour long workshop designed for employees, where they can destress and replenish their energy. During their session, teachings on wellbeing, biophysical responses to stress, and pragmatic stress-release will be simultaneously taught and practiced. Employees will locate current stress in their life, and in their body, and release it. An added bonus- they will leave with tools that they can use on a daily basis, to continue nurturing their #wellbeing. Invest in your staff's wellbeing by setting up a Nurture Employee Wellbeing workshop for them today! To set up a session for a group employees, staff development time, or leadership retreat message me so that we can coordinate one specific to your organization's needs. #employeewellbeing #staffdevelopment #training #latinamentalhealthweek #professionaldevelopment #stressrelease #mentalhealth #journaling #dei #mentalhealthawareness #employeeretention

We all know about the importance of maintaining wellbeing at work. But who's really acting on it? The World Wellbeing Movement is. They recently published their Work Wellbeing Playbook, a "concise guide that distils insights from a large-scale systematic literature review of workplace wellbeing interventions." This is precisely the type of thoroughly research-backed, people-focused approach that we take in our coaching at NEO Leaders. Whether it's developing key business competencies or strengthening Positive Psychology practices, we empower your leaders and team members to reach their greatest potential. Every company is formed of individuals — and when those individuals thrive, so too does the organisation. 🔥 Avoiding and dealing with HR burnout goes beyond basic staff wellness initiatives. Here are six tactics: 1. Set standard parameters: Establish clear boundaries for work-life balance, delegate tasks, and communicate priorities. 2. Engage in self-care: Allocate time for hobbies, exercise, and mindfulness, supported by company wellness programs. 3. Seek support from the HR community: Build relationships, attend networking events, and encourage mentorship initiatives. 4. Encourage honest dialogue: Foster open communication with leadership to address issues and promote transparency. 5. Develop resilience: Learn stress management techniques through training and support groups. 6. Pursue ongoing education: Stay current with industry trends and acquire skills through training and development opportunities. #HR #WorkLifeBalance #Wellness #ProfessionalDevelopment #Resilience

What does wellbeing mean to your organisation? Wellbeing is a word that gets thrown around a lot, so some people have become desensitised to what it truly means. In an article by Forbes "The Future of Work is Employee Wellbeing", they outline that there isn't just one thing, but a holistic approach with 7 pillars of well-being: 📌 Physical - encompassing aspects including exercise, sleep, overall lifestyle, and food choices. 📌 Career - the need to learn, grow, and develop, continuing to work flexibly and improve work/ life balance. 📌 Financial - with the increased cost of living, people will look for companies who care about their financial well-being, who offer financial planning support, emergency funding, salary sacrifice schemes etc. 📌 Social - having meaningful friendships in both your personal and work life is one of the key predictors of long-term happiness. 📌 Community - offering opportunities to be involved in the local community will deepen the ties an employee has to their employer, their local community, and the planet. 📌 Emotional - leaders who lead with empathy, flexibility, and an openness to what works best for each individual and team. 📌 Purpose Driven - organisations with a clear purpose, grounded in a set of values that are lived and breathed (not just fancy words on a wall), enable people to choose organisations that align with their values. Why should organisations take notice of this, well the ones that have a strategy and invest in holistic wellbeing report higher-performing teams, increased employee engagement, increased resilience to change, lower staff turnover, and ultimately an increase to the bottom line. If you're reading this and thinking, we want this in our organisation, but where do we start - it feels overwhelming and big. I hear you and I can help. The first step towards change is taking the first step, so book a call to discuss where you are now and where you want to be, I'll bring my HR and coaching expertise so we can work on a plan to get you there. 🎯 Book your complimentary call https://lnkd.in/e3isVuc2 #wellbeingatwork #change #leadership Full article: https://lnkd.in/eEtQUtHS Photo of Cheryl leaning against a wall, with her mobile in hand, ready to take a call.

EMPLOYEE WELL-BEING: “Bringing Our Humanity to The Workplace” For your organizational wellbeing program to be effective, it must be integrated throughout your organisation; embedded in its culture, leadership and people management practices. Promotining and supporting employee wellbeing cannot be a stand alone initiative, isolated from the everyday business activity of your organization. A Holistic and Strategic Approach to Wellbeing should involve addressing unhealthy working practices that are negatively influencing people’s attitude, behaviour and wellbeing. There should be practices also that support employees’ physical health and safety, and mental health. Sources of help such as counselling, an employee assistance programme (EAP) and occupational health (OH) services should be in place. Line managers need ongoing guidance and training to support their teams, so they can have sensitive and difficult conversations with individuals and signpost to expert help where needed. All employees should be encouraged to have a good self-care routine. According to CIPD, there is a rise in the number of reported mental health issues over the past 10 years, and it’s well recognised that many risks to people’s health at work are psychological. This has led to a growing recognition of the need for robust employer wellbeing practices that address the psychosocial, as well as the physical, aspects of health and wellbeing at work. Employee wellbeing needs to be embedded in the culture of our organizations. A good place to begin is to institute a culture of kindness by initiating wellbeing conversations. Ask team members the basic questions: “how are you today? “how are things going? Don’t we ask these questions at home? Why do we believe that as managers or supervisors or leaders, we must switch off empathy and kindness once we enter the work environment? Let’s bring our humanity to the workplace. #employeewellbeing #corporatewellbeing #productivity #peakperformance #workforceproductivity #corporatetraining #wellness
