About us
Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind is an independent charity which has been delivering mental health services and support to London residents for over 30 years. Our local community services include Advice and Information, Advocacy, Community Support, Psychoeducation, Services for Children and Young People and more. We also deliver professional mental health training courses and offer consultancy services to businesses, public sector organisations, schools colleges, and charity organisations. We’re here to make sure everyone in our local communities gets the support they need to have better mental health and wellbeing, to recover and to live the best lives possible. We take steps to ensure that our services are available to everyone suffering with a mental health problem. Most of our services can be accessed by referral through your local GP, other health professionals including mental health teams and organisations such as charities, schools and colleges. We also offer ‘self-referral’ services which anyone can apply to directly and are free of charge. For full details of our services and how you can access them, please visit our website. Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind promotes better mental health and works to challenge stigma and discrimination as a results of mental illness. We’re an independent charity working within quality standards endorsed by the Charity Commission. Reg. charity no. 801259. We’re affiliated with, but receive no charitable funding from the Mind Federation which operates across England and Wales. We’re reliant on support from individuals, businesses and the public sector. We need this support to ensure everyone suffering with a mental health problem gets the support they need to recover. This page is not monitored 24/7.

Huge Congratulations to all the winners at last night's Health Service Journal HSJ Awards! A very special congratulations and thank you goes out to West London NHS Trust and Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust Collaborative for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services who invited us as part of their team, a true collaboration in action! The Collaborative funds the Circle our Crisis Prevention Service for Children and Young People in Ealing. We are so proud of this service and know it plays a vital role in the mental wellbeing of children and young people and their parents and carers in west London! It was amazing to see The Rt. Hon. Wes Streeting MP at the event along with legendary Irish comedian and television presenter Dara Ó Briain keeping us all entertained. Well deserved win for an incredible collaboration #HSJAwards #WestLondonNHSTrust #HFEHMind #CAMHS #youthmentalhealthawareness #Circle #NoMindLeftBehind

We normally leave the lobbying to Mind but yesterday was our turn and we were honoured to attend and speak on the panel at the Socialist Educational Association’s Young Mental Health Matters Parliament event in Portcullis House, Westminster City Council last night. The evening was chaired by the wonderful Nadia Whittome MP who was joined by the legendary John McDonnell MP and Wales’s newest MP Steve Witherden MP who is also chair of the ALL-PARTY PARLIAMENTARY GROUP on Education. On the panel along with us Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind (HFEH Mind) were Arts Educational Schools London's Support and Engagement Officer Simon Robinson, and Elijah Denning Member of the Youth Steering Committee at Fair Education Alliance, both with some great contributions to the discussions. We managed to squeeze in a lot! And were even able to hear from nearly all of the audience members on their experiences with mental health and education which was so insightful. The event has given the MP’s a lot to think about and take back to parliament to discuss, and we look forward to driving more positive change to support people’s mental health! Huge thanks to Socialist Educational Association for arranging the event and National Education Union H&F for inviting us to speak #parliament #HFEHMind #SEA #NEU #WestLondon #Mentalhealthawareness #NoMindLeftBehind #youngmentalhealthawareness #education

Great article in Hounslow Herald on our latest short film Collab 'Holy Baby' with Actor, Writer & Producer Phoebe Cowley and fellow Producer Isabel Gaytan Isabel Gaytan. The film will be directed by the amazing James Coyle, a sublime director who has integrity, brilliant understanding and stunning creative direction. He will also be joined by @EoinMcLoughlin, an award winning cinematographer, who has an expert eye and is one of the industry’s leading DOP’s. Inspired by real life stories Holy Baby touches on the extremely important subject of postpartum psychosis, a relatively unknown illness faced by 1 in every 1000 mothers. Postpartum psychosis (or puerperal psychosis) is a severe mental illness. It starts suddenly in the days, or weeks, after having a baby. Symptoms vary and can change rapidly. They can include high mood (mania), depression, confusion, hallucinations and delusions. https://lnkd.in/eZc9mqih To support this short film do check out our dedicated webpage: https://lnkd.in/efm4t4QQ
