I’m going to say something very controversial for an animal rescue: STOP USING ANIMALS. Stop eating their flesh and secretions. Stop wearing their fur and skins. Stop experimenting on them. Stop using them for your personal entertainment. Stop breeding them. And I’m not just talking about dogs, cats, minks, elephants, and dolphins. I mean EVERY species. This is an extremely controversial post for a rescue organization that has saved cats and dogs from the meat trade in Vietnam. To save dogs AND be against the use of all other species for food, clothing, entertainment, and research is financial suicide. EVERY SINGLE TIME WE TALK ABOUT VEGANISM WE LOSE DONORS. But saving dogs and cats doesn’t give you the right to harm other animals with impunity. Every animal feels. Every animal suffers. Every animal needs protection from humans. If we spoke only of dog meat bans, we’d be rolling in it. The financial struggle would totally end. I know because this organization began as an anti-dog meat organization 11 years ago. We had broad public support, support that quickly waned as I talked more and more about other species, the same species those donors who “loved animals” all paid to torture and kill. We were outright attacked as extremists. We lost our vet clinic because the dog-loving donors withdrew their support from us vegan terrorists. But we will never be an organization that stays silent about the 3 trillion animals on land and in the sea killed mostly by people who say they are against animal cruelty. This entire industry of rescue is screwed if moral consistency something we should be silent about for financial reasons. So let’s turn this around. If you run an advocacy group of any kind and you continue to support the unnecessary suffering and death of trillions of animals with your actions or just your silence, it is YOU who should be ashamed of yourselves. YOUR hypocrisy is what should be condemned, not the moral consistency of vegans in these fields. If people who work for animals are those we are rescuing animals from, we’ve got some very big problems. Let’s make moral consistency the norm, not the exception! #veganfortheanimals #veganism #animalwelfare #animalrights #animaladvocacy #speciesism

Yesterday, I went to Amsterdam to commemorate my main motivation for wanting to tranform the food system: the animals. This is how many animals we will kill today for food: 900,000 cows 1.4 million goats 1.7 million sheep 3.8 million pigs 12 million ducks 202 million chickens Hundreds of millions of sea animals (It's difficult to give an accurate number for sea animals). The majority of these animals will have been factory farmed. So would have suffered a terrible life as well as an unwanted death. So, it's only right that yesterday I took the time to give remembrance to all the these deaths on National Animal Rights Day. Unfortunately, we humans see big numbers as statistics rather than a tragedy but each animal was innocent yet was sentenced to death from birth. Fortunately, plant-based eating also greatly reduces greenhouse emissions, has health benefits, massively reduces resource use. If this weren't the case, I would still not eat animals. I would not want to be in their situation so why would I put innocent animals in that situation? If you're a vegan, thank you for being part of the change to make a just food system that considers non-human animals too. If you're still eating animals, please take a moment each time you do to consider how neccesary it was for an animal to be killed to feed you. If we all did that, I think a lot fewer animals would be killed for food.

Birthdays are a time of reflection for me, and this year, it's particularly meaningful as my birthday coincides with National Animal Rights Day. Over the last couple of years, I've aligned my love for animals with the way I'm living my life, to the greatest extent possible. This includes using my voice and platform to advocate for them. With that, and in honor of my birthday and National Animal Rights Day, I will leave you with a few very simple ways you can help animals: 🌱 DO add more plant-based foods into your diet (there have never been more options and easier access; google your favorite food/recipe + vegan.. someone has definitely veganized it!) 🐰 DO shop cruelty-free (you would be shocked how many every day household items are NOT cruelty free. PETA has a free searchable database + lists alternatives to brands that aren’t cruelty-free) 🐄 DO choose plant-based materials instead of leather, fur, and feathers 🐬 DON'T support captive dolphin and orca shows 🦆 DON'T purchase down products (pillows, jackets, etc.) 🐎 DON'T use horse drawn carriages (take a bike, scooter, or walk instead) 🦋 DO support wildlife conservation efforts by planting native species in your garden and removing toxic chemicals 🐷 DO follow and support your local animal sanctuaries, rescue groups, and organizations that offer education on animal rights issues: The Humane League Mercy For Animals Sentientism We Animals Media Animal Save Movement abillion Farm Sanctuary Animal Equality Sentient Homegrown National Park … and so many others! Here’s to another year of making this world a better place for the sentient beings we humans share this beautiful planet with 💚 #NARD #nationalanimalrightsday #animalrights #vegan #biodiversity

Going vegan is one of the best things you can do to help stop animal cruelty. By refusing to pay for animal products, you reduce the demand for them, which ensures fewer animals are bred to suffer and die on farms and in slaughterhouses. #VeganLife #PlantBased #VeganFood #GoVegan #Veganism #VeganLifestyle #veganism #CrueltyFree #VeganCommunity #PlantBasedDiet ProVeg International A Well-Fed World VegFund

🌱 Honored to have spoken at the recent Russian Animal Rights Conference! I discussed how promoting plant-based alternatives can protect animals. Key takeaways: - Abolitionism and why veganism is crucial for ending animal exploitation - How accessible alternatives make it easier to adopt a plant-based lifestyle - The power of mass requests, where our vegan community comes together to ask producers to create new vegan products or veganize existing ones I’m grateful for the engaging questions and conversations that followed. Together, we’re driving meaningful change! ✨ #AnimalRights #Veganism #PlantBased #Sustainability

“Speaking Out for Animals this ‘REPORT IT’ Week” “As the Social Media Animal Cruelty Coalition’s ‘Report It’ week begins, Born Free highlights the ways members of the public can speak out about animal abuse and exploitation. Reporting Animal Cruelty on Social Media Platforms: There is a huge amount of animal cruelty and exploitation posted online, particularly on social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube. Born Free is a member of the Social Media Animal Cruelty Coalition (SMACC) which works to address the issue of images and videos depicting animal cruelty being circulated on social media. SMACC’S ‘Report It’ week (May 24th-31st) is spotlighting the importance of reporting instances of online animal cruelty, and sending a clear message to social media platforms that animal cruelty is unacceptable and must be addressed. You can help by reporting the social media platforms displaying such images to SMACC via their online report form.” Complete story and link to the Social Media Animal Cruelty Coalition “Report Form”: https://lnkd.in/gwJs8vcc #captiveconservation #bornfree #bornfreeuk #TheConservationGameMovie #SMACC

This is the cruelty behind the transport of laying hens 💔🐔. Our investigation team reveals new images of the cruel mistreatment that hundreds of laying hens go through in Chile to be transported to new farms or slaughterhouses. These animals, estimated to be near the end of their productive cycle, are put into small, overcrowded boxes where injuries and feather loss due to rough handling are evident. How long will you allow this? It is time to say NO to animal cruelty. Choose compassion, choose veganism.🌱✊ #Veganism #AnimalCruelty #Chickens #AnimalSuffering #BecomeVegan #AnimalRights #AnimalTransport.

NEW BLOG ! Hello connections, Here I came back with my new blog its not just a blog it contains lots of feeling, pain and lack of awareness in today's modern era towards animal. If I talk about animal abuser, may differ according to particular societies , by exploring more, there are the worst scenarios, Therefore its important to also look whether the rights made for the animals are still in use or got expiry like a food packet as time passes .......... We know there are many problems going in our nation and for many things we can't do much but knowing the fact we cannot be just shut ourselves if we cannot do whole so lets do at least whatever we can. Here is the link of my blog (https://lnkd.in/d5JqB2E5) Go through my blog page and read the article and also give your suggestions on my blog page. #blogpost, #animalrights, #animalcruelty, #knowlybrainiac, #animallaw

Sometimes I hear or I read statements such as "animal health leads to animal welfare". Personally, I am more of the opinion that "appropriate #animalwelfare is the starting point to good #animalhealth". And you? What do you think? These two recent factsheets from the World Veterinary Association (WVA) are easy to read, provide facts & figures, and, most importantly, include recommendations and actions for everyone to undertake https://lnkd.in/dEu4N4TD - "There are over 200,000 million free-roaming dogs in the world, including abandoned or lost companion animals, owned dogs that are left intentionally to roam, and feral dogs" https://lnkd.in/dMiChcTH - "Ensure compliance with globally recognised animal health and welfare standards for farmed fish, such as the World Organisation for Animal Health Aquatic Animal Health Code" Have a look and pick your preferred action, because, animal welfare & animal health are linked, and the latter is, eventually, everyone's health 😉
