Co-op games have become a lot more popular recently. Chained together is another example of a relatively unknown game suddenly rocketing in popularity. You have to climb out of hell while chained to your friends. The appeal and comical value is obvious. Co-op games have been making a lot of waves recently as social gaming picks up. It seems to be less about the metaverse of playing with strangers and more about an opportunity to have a good time with friends. The caveat to this trend is that most of these games don't stick around for long. Players rotate through these co-op games looking for the next fun experience. It might be increasingly hard to sustain them live service games. But it's also a hard sell at 60 or 70 dollars. This is an opportunity for smaller teams making 20-40 dollar games. Arguably 5 dollars is way too low and a missed opportunity. #GameDev #IndieDev #PCGames
