The focus on #neurodiversity in recruitment really feels like it’s accelerating, from discussion and awareness to driving practical outcomes. Big thanks to ATC - Talent Acquisition Events & Media for their great session today with Lou Zoanetti, Aron Mercer, Jennifer Tod, David Clarkson and Jody Smith. Afterwards I went to a meeting with a client who was taking me through their grad recruitment program - and quickly realised just how many gaps in the process there were that are unintentionally excluding or making it challenging for people. Food for thought... 👉 90% of people with any sort of visible or invisible disability don’t share during the recruitment process 👉 Employers need to earn the right to have candidates disclose this 👉 Need to think about inclusion from attraction, to assessment, to interviewing Killer line - just be a human talking to a human. And if you want to zoom out on this a little further, check out TaPod - We Talk Talent from last week for their fascinating chat with Joel Sardi from theField.jobs If you build an inclusive recruitment approach that also welcomes people with disabilities, you can increase your talent pool by 20% - and have some great outcomes. It's all about #empathy!
