🧭Are local employers benefiting from a ranking boost in Google search? Google has been showing localised search results for a long time, but a more recent development appears to be giving local employers a ranking boost for generic job related keywords such as “engineer jobs” or “supermarket assistant jobs” - queries for which the location is implied based on the candidate's IP address. This is a major development, as both candidates and employers expect Google to know that a particular organisation is a major employer in one location. However, this is easier said than done, and this is where recruitment marketing intersects with corporate marketing. In order for Google to acknowledge an organisation as a local employer, that organisation needs to first be recognised by Google as a local business. The local business listings are usually created and maintained by corporate marketing, but recruitment marketing still has to create the localised job category pages in order to help Google connect the dots. If I were Google I would also use the Google for Jobs structured data to identify local employers, but I doubt that this is the case. Most likely, Google started applying traditional local business ranking factors to job related queries. To quickly test if Google is seeing your organisation as a local employer I recommend using this free tool: freelocalrankingchecker . com Just add a keyword such as “supermarket assistant jobs” and a location such as “Cambridge, UK”, click to “Generate Search Links” and then use the “Organic / Local Pack results” link. Then, you’ll be able to see localised search results through candidates’ eyes (as shown in the screenshot below), and you’ll also be able to start a discussion with your SEO agency on how to get the local employer recognition you deserve. Get in touch if you’re interested to find out how Enhance Media’s SEO service can help employers achieve the search engine visibility they deserve. Q3 & September Recruitment Data Insight: As we wrap up September and hurtle (what a word) into Q4, I’ve spotted some interesting research and wanted to share this and insights into what we, here at The Candidate Recruitment Agency, have been up to! Firefish recruitment software have released their September monthly report for September activity: - Q3 was the strongest quarter to date for placements – this is really positive as there’s a 6% jump compared to Q1 which is traditionally the busiest recruitment quarter. - September placements were 23% higher than last year - suggesting real positivity in the market from recruitment agency activity, something we too have experienced internally for starters in the month. - However, Perm placements in Sales & Marketing for September alone only matched August and remained lowest since April – the annual pre-Covid trend of September being a top performing month of the year, alongside March hasn’t materialised, suggesting many businesses recruited in advance for their seasonal marketing campaigns or are being cautious going into the quarter to gauge spending and will perhaps look at immediately available candidates or contractors. - Almost 40% of all job applications come from recruitment agency’s own website (and database) with 60% from job boards – reminding us of the strength of using an agency with a reputable brand and prominent website and how they use selected job boards to complement this. For us, the quarter has been really busy, with The Candidate’s top roles in terms of placement numbers being the following, making up about a third of the business: - Marketing – from executive, to manager, senior manager to Director – we’ve placed in property businesses, logistics, fashion, health, agency, tech and automotive! - Paid Media, Paid Social and Paid Specialist roles – all focussing on positive budget ROI in marketing agency, eComm and the charity sector. - PPC – a number placed for a well-known high-street brand increasing their presence online and a few marketing agencies with recent client wins. - eComm – executive and manager roles in Manchester and London for ambitious fashion brands, some expanding internationally. - CRM – mainly client side, eComm, travel and automotive being popular. We’ve also placed in tech, analytics, creative and even engineering – with a very wide range of job titles and specialisms! Small to medium marketing agencies and boutique specialists are finding their groove too in a more buoyant market which we’re helping with. But for me and the Exec Search Team, it’s been all about 3 Marketing Directors, a Head of Digital, a Senior National Account Director and some big international roles in Europe, USA and even China! It has been busy! Don’t hesitate to get on touch if you’re looking for a new role or want confidential advice on the current market, available senior candidates or advice on a job spec for a crucial senior position. Three essential steps for a high-performing recruitment website. These will bring in new clients and drive more candidate applications. The three steps are: 1️⃣ Define 2️⃣ Convert 3️⃣ Amplify Let’s dive into these in more detail… 1️⃣ Define It all starts with your audience. Who is your ideal customer? What problems do they have? And how does your agency solve their problems in a way no one else does? Even if you think you know this, it's nice to validate your thoughts through customer interviews and competitor research. Mapping out the main players in your space and how your USP stacks up against theirs. The better you know your audience and brand, the stronger foundation you have to build on. Bonus points: Speak to your candidates. How did they find working with you? What can you learn from them about the process? All of this feeds into the design of your website, from the copy to the images as well as the pages needed. — 2️⃣ Convert Once you know what makes you unique, it's time to reflect this on your website. A high-performing recruitment website doesn’t just look good, it gets results. You need persuasive sales pages that speak directly to your ideal customer. These can be broken down by sector or the type of role you're filling e.g. "CFO recruitment", "SEO recruitment", or "private equity recruitment". Your website has to load quickly across all devices and follow UX best practices. Users will expect nothing less. And the application process should be seamless for candidates. Feeding directly into your team and your CRM. Finally, what supporting content do you need? This should be based on the problems uncovered during the customer interviews. Think guides and FAQs. And don't forget your customer success stories. Insights on how you helped both the client and candidate find the perfect match. Now we have a solid foundation, it's time to... — 3️⃣ Amplify Your website is built to convert your dream customer, it’s time to get it in front of as many people as possible. This can take many forms... SEO: Produce content that answers your clients’ and candidates’ key questions. Paid Ads: Use LinkedIn and Google Ads to get in front of decision-makers and job seekers. Confidently sending them to your website. Retargeting: Re-engage visitors who didn’t convert with targeted ads. The goal? Get your site in front of the right people and let it do what it’s designed to do. Convert. Bonus: The work done on the website will also benefit your recruiters doing cold outreach. Potential clients will Google you after you've reached out to them. — In summary: 1️⃣ Define your dream lead and uncover insights 2️⃣ Build an optimised website that will convert them 3️⃣ And then amplify your sales and marketing efforts When all three steps are in place, your recruitment website becomes a powerful growth engine. Helping you connect the right clients with the perfect candidates.

✅Provide a Great #RecruitmentExperience to Companies and Candidates 🚫Not Unuseful Information ▶️As a client, should you trust the "Best #ITRecruitment Agencies in #Poland" lists written by recruitment agencies, or should you read REAL reviews from clients and candidates who have worked with those agencies? ❌Every day, a marketing "guru" :) from a recruitment agency decides to create a list based on vague criteria. Maybe it's for SEO, maybe for co-branding. ✅Who knows? Personally, I believe these lists don't bring any real value. ➡️If you're a client looking for a recruitment partner, do yourself a favor and ignore these lists (even the ones that mention our agency). ↪️Instead, check out platforms like Clutch or Google, where you can read genuine reviews and get a true sense of what it's like to work with them. Have a great day, everyone! :) And if you want to read a REAL feedback from a client who worked with us please find below: https://lnkd.in/guqbhJMp
