Since joining Philips a little over a year ago, we have improved the health and well-being of more than 720 million people globally, both inside and outside the hospital, with still millions more patients depending on us. Here are my biggest learnings: 1. 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 in the Monitoring business to tackle key health systems challenges together, like NYU Langone Health, Stanford Health Care, and 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 more! 2. We win when we lead with 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 that is designed around the patient, the provider and the caregiver, wherever they are. We shared examples of this at #HIMSS24, the London Business School Healthcare Club's conference, the AdvaMed 2023 MedTech Conference and The Wall Street Journal Health Forum. 3. We are becoming a #BestPlaceToWork by elevating diversity of thought, inclusion, and well-being across the company. I’m proud to play my part as the Executive Sponsor of Philips Women Lead (PWL), which has grown to 𝟰.𝟱 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 who connect and thrive across our organization. We’re #shiftingtheculture, and I’m excited to continue this momentum. THANK YOU to my teammates around the globe for your partnership, thoughtfulness, and determination to deliver to our purpose. Thank you also to Roy Jakobs and the entire ExCo for their collaboration and leadership this past year. There are hundreds of millions more people who need us, and we’ll continue to deliver. How can we connect, cheer and support each other in a work community although distances between us might be thousands of kilometers and without reasons related to daily work? ✨️ Siemens Healthineers in the Nordics organized a #HealthChallenge which consisted on e.g. daily exercises as well as tips and tricks for healthier worklife. Throughout the challenge our team shared pictures and thoughts about their activities, and inspired each other: it was about how the team members can support and cheer each other, not who achieves the goal first. Boy we had fun! Here are some insights from our journey: ▪️Even the smallest activities count and it's important that everyone can enjoy sports or trainings according to the currently available resources. ▪️Siemens water kettle is a perfect dumbbel! As well as rocks from the nature. ▪️Travels between the office and home is a good spot for trainings. ▪️Balance of sports and rest is the key. and dog enjoyed interval trainings so much it's now hard to run with regular pace.. 😅 Thank you colleagues for this journey. And everything applies for the success at work as well: connect as one team where no-one is left behind, cheer, inspire and support ✨️ #siemenshealthineers #Nordics #HealthChallenge #everythingcounts #oneteam #cheer #support #inspire

I hosted my second founders' event last week and this time I met people who were not building AI products. At a time when everyone is talking about AI, it's exciting to meet people driving change in a completely different industry. I got to meet Juliette, solving a significant problem for employers and employees looking for surgical practitioners. She told us about her vision, the why behind her starting up & what her GTM strategy looks like. Some notable takeaways were - 1. She meets clients often at health tech conferences. The people who come to such events are very relevant and often are actively looking for providers. 2. Cold-visiting offices for a demo and making sales have a better success rate in smaller cities. In bigger cities like SF where everyone's rushing, being turned around is not uncommon. Nilesh and Payal are also building some important problems in the health sector using technology. When they showed up, I felt I was hosting a health tech networking event! I learned a lot more about problems in medicine, how things are different here in the US compared to India & learned a whole lot about working in the medical industry. Special thanks to Diana for supporting our events as always too. With only two weeks left, my time in SF is slowly coming to an end. But it can't be over until I hold at least one more HR Happy Hours event! If you're into HR, I'm hosting my 3rd event for HR leaders in the Bay Area on Thursday, October 17 in SoMa, San Francisco. We are going to talk about fostering a happier people culture and building systems and processes that support it. We will also organize a couple of debating sessions on a couple of topics too! To RSVP, just comment and I'll send you an invite!

In celebration, I wanted to share my own WOW moments this week – how I maintain my own well-being to be the best version of myself. Today’s question: How does well-being support me personally? To me it means setting aside time to run, which allows me to clear my mind and remain focused on my daily priorities. That line has gone viral for a reason—it’s a reminder that skill and purpose make all the difference. Might be a rookie mistake, but I’m going to bare my soul a little today so bear with me. Healthcare is possibly one of the most complex industries EVER and it never seizes to amaze and scare me all at once. This juxtaposition of emotion is probably what keeps me going day after day, week after week and year after year to a point that before a blink of an eye I’m reaching my 10 year mark at IQVIA. 10 years seems like a lot and negligible at the same time in the realm of the complex problems we are solving. As I fully transition to the Medical Affairs Solution lead role, I want to take stock of what I want to keep, start and stop doing moving forward. (On a side note, congrats Xiu Wei Lim for taking over the role of Head of Evidence Strategy, APAC - you’re going to be great!!) ♥️ KEEP - being comfortable with adapting to and navigating through the unknowns - being authentic to my thoughts, actions and those around me - being fascinated by the possibilities/ outcomes of connecting the dots 🏳️ START - being kind to myself and acknowledging that I cannot do it all - dedicating more quality time to my growing and aging family - manifesting and truly going back to the grassroots of solving healthcare problems - by the side of the patient 🚫 STOP - sacrificing my team’s and/or my mental health over trivialities or inefficiencies - valuing quantity over quality of work/ relationships - letting others/ my bad behaviours be left unaddressed We are almost half way through the year and there is so much lined up to do. The above mantras are only going to help me get more laser focused. Hope it helps you too, even if it just gets you to start thinking or REprioritising for the rest of 2024. #Jiayou #Keepgoing #WorkAnniversary #Transitioned #WeekendMusings #Focus #Recalibrate #Healthcare
