Sales versus Salesy! There IS a difference. Sales are necessary in order for a #business to provide a service unless you have the capacity to offer everything for free, you need to have sales. You need to have sales goals and you need to track sales to ensure you can cover overhead, make a salary, save for a rainy day and keep the doors open. Salesy on the other hand is a bit different and I personally do not like salesy approaches. Go to the event, here a little bit of information, then here comes the salesy pitch--aggressive and pushy. No thank you! Back in the days, when our money was really funny, my husband and I took the free time share trips! Who knows what I am talking about? You get a free trip if and only if you agree to attend the sales event where a salespersons tries to sell you a timeshare. We always dreaded the sales event because we were truly there because we did not have $ and wanted the free trip. However, there was one time share experience I remember where the salesperson was not salesy. No pressure at all! Guess where? A #Disney time share. They provided the information, the benefits, the value, the excellent #communication etc and then said if you don't want it, no pressure, just let us know either way. We declined at the time because of the $ but if we were ever to buy a timeshare now, it would be with #Disney because the sales people were trained to share value and respected our decision and time. Therapy entrepreneurs, we can learn about articulating our valuing and respecting others in the sales process. Here is an article with tips on how to sell without being #salesy https://lnkd.in/eKSkickA Let's ensure we get the sales without turning off our target market because we are too salesy! I know that's WRITE! #occupationaltherapists #healthcareentrepreneurs #marketing #sales #socialentrepreneurs

🚀 How I Turned "No" into $9000 in Sales Last year, I was struggling. My first few client calls? Total disaster. First prospect: Hung up Second prospect: Ignored my emails Third prospect: Polite rejection Most people would've quit. Not me. I remembered the sales stats: 2% close on first contact 44% give up after one try 80% of sales happen between 5th-12th contact So I kept following up. Personalized emails. Helpful resources. Genuine check-ins. My $3000 service felt impossible to sell. Then on the 7th follow-up with a potential client, everything changed. They saw my persistence wasn't pushy - it was commitment. Result? Not just one client. Multiple contracts. From 10% conversion to 30%. $3000 to $9000. Lesson: Persistence isn't just a strategy. It's a superpower. #sales #marketing #entrepreneur

Sales Follow up! Listen to my video or have a read and share your thoughts. You've built a great relationship with your prospects. You've earned the trust and they bought your product or service, so what next? The biggest crime any sales professional can commit it's not to follow up with the prospect after the point of sale. Consumers are protected and can cancel their order several days after the transaction. If they're sat at home and a few doubts start creeping in and you don't follow up, there is no one there to answer any of their concerns or objections. Also, they could be thinking, where has our new best friend gone? They've simply vanished into fresh air! So, for future business, it's essential you keep in touch with your prospects. Tell your prospects you'll give them a call in a couple of days and arrange a convenient time. If any concerns are raised when you call, you are there to answer them and make the sale solid. The job as a sales professional is A-Z, not just up until the point of sale. Never let your prospects doubt your credibility and never let them doubt the trust they've put in you! I’ve closed over 70 sales in 2023 using just one method. Most people think being good at sales means: - Fighting sales objections - Following sales scripts - Being naturally gifted But I left all that behind and followed one piece of advice from a 7-figure marketer: Make sales by demonstrating the offer. Every month, I organised a free workshop where I showed everything. I didn’t hide a single thing. I gave so much value that almost everyone could immediately use what they learned to close high-ticket sales. I led the event with the mindset of not charging for the value or hiding it. I only charged for the best way to implement that value. Being authentic, genuine, and kind helped me close over 70 sales and help my clients close over $200k in their sales. Today's prospects don't just buy products; they buy what those products can do for them. So, instead of pitching a product, demonstrate what the product does for people. Sales can be tough. Some people like it, but many find it hard. It feels strange and awkward, making you feel unsure about yourself. But here's the thing: sales talks aren't normal chats. It's not everyday you ask someone for money. It's nerve-wracking to wait and see if they'll see the value in what you offer. That's why it's so unnerving. But remember, you're passionate about your work! You know you can solve problems and make things better for others. So, you've got to win the chance to do it. You're on your journey as an entrepreneur, and showing your value is crucial, especially at the start. And to show your value, you need to keep up a steady flow of leads, meetings, pitches, and sales. This all comes down to working on your idea, your audience, and what you're offering. On the 10th April, me and Pierre Bauzée, will be helping you discover that you have what it takes to have those tough sales talks. And everything you learn becomes part of your client acquisition and retention gameplan. It can be easy to get caught up in the pursuit of a sale. While we need to be laser-focused on our business growth, we must understand that relationship-building reigns over merely making a sale. Much like a lion stalks it's prey, we must be as focused on understanding our clients, their needs, and their desires. It's not about pouncing on the first opportunity but rather about patiently observing and waiting for the perfect moment to solve the prospect's problems. Invest time into establishing trust and cultivating a rapport with a client. The lion is known for being fiercely focused and loyal to its pride. As entrepreneurs, what strategies can you employ to create an atmosphere where your customers feel valued, loyalty is fostered, and they're more than just a statistic in your business database? The one major question most SMEs are always asking is: “How do I close the sale? And what do I have to do to close more sales? I need to close more!” There’s a lot going on in that question, of course. But in many ways, the answer is simpler than many SMEs think… Show interest in the person first. Get to know them. Imagine being on a date and the first question the guy asks is, "Will you be my wife? I can see you as the mother of my children, the woman of my generation." You’d immediately feel awkward and leave, right? That’s how most people are when it comes to their customers. In the first conversation, we often overwhelm them with our services and products without even knowing them. This happens because we want to meet our targets, make our bosses happy, or get promoted. While all this is valid, here are ways you can close more sales with ease. 4 steps to closing the sale: 1. Put your products away – Many entrepreneurs make the mistake of leading with their products. Instead, focus on the person first. 2. Gain insights – Introducing yourself and saying, “Tell me about your business. I’d love to learn more about what you do,” often backfires. The prospect may think, “Why should I share this with you? Who are you?” Unlike doctors, salespeople don't have built-in authority. You need to earn the discussion by demonstrating expertise. Show the prospect that you are a true expert who can help them grow their business. High-level prospects like CEOs or VPs need to see value first, so use insight as your initial step. 3. Solve their challenges – After demonstrating insight, ask questions to understand their challenges. Show that you understand their needs and can solve their problems with your offering. 4. Provide a solution – Demonstrate authority up front, close the deal, and make prospects more likely to sign the contract. -Want to Boost Your Sales?
