Sales can be tough. Some people like it, but many find it hard. It feels strange and awkward, making you feel unsure about yourself. But here's the thing: sales talks aren't normal chats. It's not everyday you ask someone for money. It's nerve-wracking to wait and see if they'll see the value in what you offer. That's why it's so unnerving. But remember, you're passionate about your work! You know you can solve problems and make things better for others. So, you've got to win the chance to do it. You're on your journey as an entrepreneur, and showing your value is crucial, especially at the start. And to show your value, you need to keep up a steady flow of leads, meetings, pitches, and sales. This all comes down to working on your idea, your audience, and what you're offering. On the 10th April, me and Pierre Bauzée, will be helping you discover that you have what it takes to have those tough sales talks. And everything you learn becomes part of your client acquisition and retention gameplan. Most sales executives focus on closing the deal, but what about after the contract is signed? One often overlooked strategy is the power of a post-sale check-in. This can really help turn clients into long-term partners! How? Just make a follow-up call or send an email, asking questions like, “How is everything working out for you so far?” or “Is there anything we can do to support you better?” First, this shows you care. Checking in after the sale shows that you value the relationship beyond the transaction. A post-sale check-in can also reveal additional needs or challenges the client faces (which they may not have been comfortable revealing to your Operator who they were still forming a relationship with, but now that you are their business partner, they’ll be more open to discussing). This opens the door for further business opportunities for you. This is also a perfect time to get feedback on your product or service. High C DISC styles, in particular, appreciate this thorough and detailed approach. They value precision and appreciate when you follow up to ensure everything is meeting their expectations. Next time you close a deal, don’t forget the follow-up. It’s a very small step that can lead to very significant rewards in the long term as part of your client retention strategy. #michellestrydom #salesisfun #sales #success #deals #closethedeal #salestips #salesskills #buyerbehavior #salescoach #entrepreneur #youshouldknow #knowledgeispower #ceos #salesleaders #svps #businessowners

How to close more sales by being “𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁” in the sales calls? Every Monday, I have coaching sessions with my clients, and I always ask them to bring in “$10,000 questions” on the call. (For context, I ask this because on Mondays we focus on needle-moving activities in the business) This week, we were having an interesting conversation, they were sharing their wins, and asking questions, and it directed to a “sales call” We were discussing the reasons why most prospects don’t convert to clients—even though you have a great offer that can help them, you know your craft well, but still, it ends up like… “I’ll think about it.” You have heard this many times before, right? It’s a challenge that almost every entrepreneur faces, no matter how long they have been in a business. I WAS THERE, too. I remember that stage very well. I’d feel the nerves kicking in hours before the call. Anxiety would build, and I’d get that “clock is ticking” feeling as the call time approached. But here’s what made all the difference for me: 👉 Being fully present with them & focusing on Serving rather than Selling. The reason why I said “being fully present” is important because when you’re truly grounded and connected with yourself, you show up in a state of abundance. So, the point is… Show up like they’re already your client and you’re hoping on a call to coach them. In the same way, when you see the movies, you feel that emotional connection with characters and story—at the same time, in the back of your mind, you know it’s not reality. But still, you have FUN and you ENJOY that. Start doing the same with your sales call, and see the magic happen.

🚀 The 'Anti-Pitch': Why Sometimes Not Selling Is Your Best Sales Strategy 🚀 We've all been there—armed with our pitch deck, ready to dazzle, and then...crickets. The client’s eyes glaze over, and you can almost hear the internal monologue: “Here we go again, another sales pitch.” 😴 But what if I told you the secret to winning business isn’t in selling at all? Enter the 'Anti-Pitch'—the art of not pitching. Yes, you heard me right. Here’s the idea: Instead of pushing products or services, you focus on listening. You prioritize understanding your client’s pain points, even if it means walking away without a deal. The key is to show that you’re more interested in solving their problems than in closing the sale. Sounds counterintuitive, right? But here’s the kicker—it works. Let me share a quick story: A few years back, I walked into a meeting with a potential client, fully prepared to showcase our services. But as the conversation unfolded, I realized they didn’t need what I was offering—at least not at that moment. So, I did the unthinkable—I stopped pitching. Instead, I asked questions, shared a few insights, and left without making any attempt to sell. Two weeks later, the client called me back. They were impressed by my approach and wanted to explore a partnership. Not only did we close the deal, but we also built a long-term relationship based on trust and mutual respect. The moral of the story? Sometimes, the best way to win business is to not sell at all. By taking the pressure off, you allow your clients to make decisions without feeling cornered. And when they’re ready, they’ll come back to you. Why? Because you showed them that you care more about their success than your sales quota. So next time, instead of hitting them with the hard sell, consider the 'Anti-Pitch.' You might just find it’s your most powerful strategy yet. 😉 #Sales #BusinessStrategy #ClientSuccess
