How to Sell Cannabis in a Saturated, Volatile Market: Understanding Your Buyer’s Fears and Needs In a saturated and volatile cannabis market, standing out can feel like a struggle. As someone who's been in sales for 20+ years, here’s what I know to be true: buyers only make decisions based on fear or need. If you want to close more deals, you have to uncover what drives your buyer—what they’re afraid of, or what they desperately need—and position your product as the solution. Here’s how you can do that: Dig Deep into Buyer Fears Every cannabis buyer has fears, whether it's about compliance, product quality, or reputation. It could be a fear of losing customers, making the wrong investment, or failing to meet regulatory standards. As a seller, it’s your job to uncover those fears. Once you know them, show how your product directly addresses and resolves those concerns. That’s how you turn hesitation into confidence. Understand Their Core Needs Needs go beyond just wanting a product to sell—they often center around the desire for reliability, profitability, or innovation. Does your product fill a specific market demand? Does it offer consistent quality that dispensaries can rely on? Get clear on how your product meets their needs, then communicate it effectively. The more your product feels like the perfect fit, the more likely they’ll be to buy. Position Your Product as the Solution Once you’ve identified their fears and needs, position your product as the answer. Are they worried about compliance? Highlight your legal standards. Do they need to grow their customer base? Show how your product’s unique selling points can attract more buyers. Aligning your product with their emotions, whether driven by fear or need, is the key to making sales in a crowded market. So, what’s the biggest challenge you’re facing right now in cannabis sales? Let’s talk about it in the comments—I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Unadjusted retail cannabis sales in Canada continued to rebound through July from steep seasonal declines in January, but sales were down year-over-year from March through July compared to 2023. When looking at the same figures adjusted for seasonal changes, July 2024 was down 1.8% from June and 3.8% compared to July 2023. Provincially, those declines appear to have been most pronounced in Ontario, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. #cannabisindustry
Cannabis sales showed some upward movement in the first half of 2024, but increases did not surpass those previous highs in much of the first half of 2023, as the annual growth of the market appears to be finding a ceiling. #cannabisindustry #cannabisnews #MarketTrends #cannabisretail https://lnkd.in/gzrU6gWu

I sell cannabis (legally). But that's only a portion of the story... I've been on the ground since the start of the medical cannabis industry in Europe, and I've got to accomplish things no others have. In addition, I participated in many "firsts," which helped shape the European industry into what it is today. In the end, my accomplishments are irrelevant to you though. They are my accomplishments, not yours. You need to focus on experience, knowledge, and skill. That is what will lead to great accomplishments. Do you have the prior experience? Do you have the knowledge? Do you have the skills? If you do, package it all together and offer your help. Because it's not about your accomplishments. It's about your ability to attract clients. And your ability to deliver results. That's what matters... Ps. The new edition of CannaBeMe drops in an hour. Get it directly in your inbox like the other 166 of the CBM Crew! Check the comments...

August was a blockbuster month for cannabis sales, with six states—Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, and New York—setting new monthly records. Michigan led the charge with a jaw-dropping $295.4 million in total sales, while Missouri saw a massive boost in adult-use purchases, hitting $110 million. What’s driving this growth? It’s simple: consumer demand is skyrocketing as more people choose cannabis over other substances. In fact, a recent report highlighted that the rise in cannabis sales is becoming a “significant threat” to the alcohol industry. People are choosing a different way to relax—and it’s profoundly impacting retail markets everywhere. What’s next for cannabis dispensaries? To keep up with this momentum, cannabis retailers must focus on customer engagement and loyalty. And that’s where HighRewards comes in! HighRewards offers the only pay-for-performance marketing platform designed specifically for dispensaries. With HighRewards, you can reward your customers for every purchase, visit, and interaction—keeping them engaged and returning for more! #cannabismarketing #cannabisindustry #retailstrategy #highrewards #customerloyalty #marketgrowth #sustainability #dispensarymarketing
