Nightlife Articles #40: Why Aren’t Clubs Recognised as ‘National Portfolio Organisations’ like Galleries, Museums and Theatres The time has come to question the outdated cultural hierarchy that places classical arts above contemporary ones. The contribution of clubs to our society is clear—they are hubs of creativity, diversity, and economic activity. Clubs or venues like Fabric, SubClub, Ministry of Sound, and Printworks deserve to be celebrated, protected, and funded in the same way that opera houses and theatres are. Let’s not wait until it’s too late to recognise their value. It’s time to give clubs the support they need to continue shaping the culture of tomorrow. https://buff.ly/3Uahfke

______________________________________________________________________________ America Don't Let Go | Song By Nathan BERT BRIDGES | THE GREAT AMERICAN TOUR BEGINS!@bertbridgestv ______________________________________________________________________________ BERT BRIDGES NETWORK BERT BRIDGES WORLD BREAKIN NEWS COMEDY REPORT A MESSAGE OF WARNING FOR THE WORLD | AMERICA Don't Let Go | SONG By Nathan Bert Bridges | 2024 © ______________________________________________________________ THE BERT BRIDGES GREAT AMERICAN TOUR IS ALL ABOUT BREAKING CULTURAL NORMS AND DIVISION THAT KEEP US SEPARATED FROM KNOWING WHO WE ARE AS INDIVIDUALS CREATED BY GOD FOR THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE AND LIVE AND BE AT PEACE WITH OUR NEIGHBORS. FOR THE GOOD BOOK SAY'S WE MUST BE OUR BROTHERS KEEPER SO IT WILL BE WELL WITH US. Regardless of the division in our American politics, I am a bridge builder that can sit at the table with anyone [INCLUDING HILLARY CLINTON LOL ] and find some common ideas, principles, or beliefs. What a great opportunity and historical moment I was able to capture by filming my personal eye witness account of Donald J. Trump visiting a black church in Detroit. In my world it's all about being the bridge! Check out what I observed and get my overall impression. SO BECAUSE POLITICAL SEASON IS AROUND THE CORNER I HAVE DECIDED TO MERGE THE BERT BRIDGES MUSIC & CONVERSATIONS TOUR WITH MY GREAT AMERICAN TOUR TO BRING MORE VALUE TO THE PUBLIC BY HAVING FRANK OPEN CONVERSATIONS WITH THE SOUND OF ORIGINAL MUSIC FROM THE LIVETOWN MUSIC EXPERIENCE. STAY TUNE FOUR LOCATION TOUR DATES AS THE POP/UP MOVEMENT CONTINUES! "IT TAKES TWO ENDS FOR A BRIDGE TO COMMIT TO IT'S INTEGRITY." - #BERTBRIDGES NATHAN BERT BRIDGES: My song "America Don't Let Go" is an Anthem that encapsulates beautiful images and imagery of life, liberty, culture, harmony, and freedom. I believe this song encompasses the spirit of freedom and the American Dream through which comes from God! During these trying times we need to remind ourselves of our freedom and harmony with our fellow man while living out our individuality! FOR OUR PERSONAL WELLBEING IS IN DIRECT CORRELATION BY HOW YOU TREAT YOUR BROTHER, NEIGHBOR, COMMUNITY AT LARGE. I feel the music I produced uplifts the intention through the visuals to a point where viewers can really connect with the mood and feel of what the music videos message. So check it out and feel free to leave a comment. Your feedback is gold to me! God Bless America you and America. https://lnkd.in/e-swp5Kp This is it! 🎵 I am so thrilled to share with you my last work for orchestra, Shores (working title: "Longing For Belonging"), conducted by Erin Bodnar. I want to thank the Mostly Modern Festival for choosing my work and giving me this tremendous opportunity to make my music happen - it's more rare than you could imagine! The piece has a suffered story. If you want to know more about it, here's an extract of the program notes. "It all started with “The Island” - a long time ago, probably during the pandemic in 2020, as a musical theater piece [...] meant to be based on a dialogue by Cesare Pavese, part of the book “Dialoghi con Leucò”. I remember reading this book and that “The Island” dialogue in particular, and getting so emotionally involved. It was about the story between Odysseus and Calypso, in a sort of alternative ending of the Odyssey where the protagonist decides not to come back home, but stay on the island with Calypso, because - freely paraphrasing her words from the book: It's just an island, what difference does it make where you decide to lie down and rest your head? And even if you eventually manage to come back to Ithaca, will you even be able to recognize your own houses after 20 years? And the people? Some of them will certainly be understanding, but will you ever be able to share what you have seen and done? You will feel more alone than in the sea. At the time, I found it interesting for the implications of the piece: it was full of insights about what it means to be isolated, and what is the meaning of travel and returning home. It was, as I said, during the pandemic, so of course, the theme was also resonating with the current situation in my life where I was in Germany and couldn’t come back home to Italy. It was a tough time in my life, I was scared for my loved ones - I remember having nightmares every single night. Anyway, the project evolved, but I never actually managed to make it an opera: not only because of the lack of funding, but also - to be honest - because the dialogue was so full and rich of intellectual interest that I found it difficult to transpose it into a libretto to be sung and not really “understood”.

New Honor Ensemble Conductor Club Member, Let's face it, the world of honor ensemble conducting has often felt like an exclusive club, and getting a foot in the door might have seemed like navigating through a good ole boys' network (with a few women occasionally sneaking in). The unspoken rule: "You conduct mine, I'll conduct yours, and let's enjoy that honorarium on a weekend getaway in Vegas." But here's the scoop: times are changing, and so is the landscape of this so-called club. The good ole boys' roster is dwindling—literally. Now, in this digital era, the question is, how will the world discover your exceptional talent for inspiring young musicians to standing ovation-worthy performances? The answer is simple: https://lnkd.in/eA8xNCWV. It's your digital stage to showcase your brilliance. By completing your profile and uploading a video, you're letting the world in on your unique ability to elevate young musicians to extraordinary heights. Believe me, they're going to know about you, and it won't be long before you find yourself in the Club. Get ready to rewrite the narrative and take center stage!
