The PR Pulse’s Post

BOOK SPOTLIGHT 📚📚 Our spotlight this month is on the book Essentials of Public Relations: A Case Study Approach written by bernrad osero and Faith Mituki MPRSK The book is a handbook that bridges the gap between theory taught to beginner learners in the classroom and practical situations that happen in the field. It is written solely from the authors' experience in training undergraduate public relations students and managing them as attachees and interns in the workplace. The book provides sufficient insights into the nature of public relations as a profession, demonstrating that while other professions may adopt some of its strategies, it remains a unique practice with a well-defined ethical code. The case studies are authentic even where there is some use of pseudonyms. The book's deliberate clarity underscores the notion that public relations should express and foster understanding, not just impress or pontificate. "We hope that this handbook will assist learners, trainers and generally managers and leaders of institutions in enhancing their confidence in relationship building and boosting their ability to communicate effectively and with impact", said Faith Mituki during the book sale at the #PRSKSummit2024 held at Homa Bay County Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK) Daystar University Aga Khan University Daystar University Alumni Association United States International University - Africa CatholicUniversity Catho
