There is a feeling that in defence, the private sector will break boundaries, evenly competing with government entities & DPSUs if they have true vision for doing great things and invest in R&D in tech. Overall, in 2-3 years, India has to find ways to crack some elusive and advanced tech, raise production capacity and design & build platforms and systems and indigenous equipment faster. Exactly the way IAF chief points out that while Hindustan Aeronautics Limited doing their bit, there will be no aerospace revolution without the equally capable private sector competing and building jets, helicopters and engines. Land forces are spreading(look at ATAGS) and the navy is already building strategic assets with the pvt sector. Truly exciting that the new Defence Secretary of India with his deeper understanding of industrial systems and key tech will drive policies that will help India break barriers and lead into advanced military technologies. And I will continue raising issues of national importance, of technology of capabilities towards national security. #defencesecretary #defence #aerospace #technology #army #iaf #navy #secretary #leadership #industry #makeinindia

There is a lot of analysis written on the Kursk incursion, but I haven’t seen much written about leadership lessons. So I wrote about it. From the intro: “The Ukrainian incursion into the Russian Kursk region in August marked a daring military moment, showcasing the importance of adaptability and leadership under pressure. For leaders in the U.S. Army, there are lessons to extract from this action. You don’t have to be deployed to Europe or be on the ground next to the Ukrainian armed forces to glean lessons, however. The following lessons and takeaways don’t focus on just tactics or logistics, but extend to leadership qualities, mental resilience and strategic thinking, which are crucial for any officer stepping into today’s complex operational environment.” I appreciate the continued support from the Association of the United States Army - AUSA, Army University Press, Harding Project and the Army University Press. https://lnkd.in/ejBBt6dp
