Key Insights: 🚀 One major insight from our discussions was the importance of understanding our users. As part of our user persona development process, I created a detailed persona for Solo Travelers—young professionals who value convenience, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. Tech Savvy: Highly comfortable using apps and technology. This is my first time creating a user persona, and it has been an enlightening experience that has deepened my understanding of user-centric design. 🎉🏆 Pain Points: They require reliable and affordable transportation to get to events without long wait times. Concerns about surge pricing during peak concert times can significantly affect their budget.📝 Problem Impact: Surge pricing and inefficient operations can lead to user frustration, diminished brand loyalty, and increased congestion in urban areas on concert days. Excited to Join the PM Hackathon! 🎉 I’m thrilled to announce that I’m participating in the PM Hackathon by Product Space and working on the problem statement: Optimizing Uber’s operations for concert days in India. 🚖 Going through the Uber concert challenge made me nostalgic about my college days when our campus held its annual fest - YUVTARANG a mini concert bringing celebrities, music, and long queues of students. It used to start from around 7 PM till midnight, and students from all parts of the city would attend. I remember booking an Uber early because I thought I would avoid the rush, but as midnight approached, the application was overwhelmed, wait times felt like a decade, and surge pricing kicked in. I just gave up on the ride altogether, which led me to wonder: what if Uber could predict demand and plan better? This experience caught my interest in this hackathon challenge. Imagine Uber working with local transport services to create designated concert pickup zones, dedicated routes, and surge-sensitive pricing. It would make the ride smoother and safer for the users while maintaining the traffic flow.   Managing high-demand events without compromising the city traffic flow can impact Uber making it more reliable and loved platform by its users, especially during special events. I want to learn and explore about how one can be much more impactful through demand prediction, user behavior analytics, and strategic partnerships. So, excited to solve this challenge. 💡 Fun fact: Concert-goers are 3x more likely to use rideshares, so there’s an opportunity to make it seamless! The platform is centred around a map with geo-tagging technology.  Users would have the ability to communicate to others by posting a message to the map which would be clearly visible for others to see.  As I went deeper into the idea I thought of pitfalls such as people being afraid to post out of feeling embarrassed or being judged, so I thought of adding a layer - hiding your identity. (anonymous posting). The more I thought about the idea, the more I fell in love with it. 🔮

Hey LinkedIn! (Heads up—long post ahead!) As I mentioned in my last post, I’ve joined Co.Lab 🚀 joincolab.io, a bootcamp where I’m stepping into the Product Manager role, working with an amazing group of developers and designers to bring a new product to life. 💡 We’ve been focusing on ideation, validating our problem space through user research, and creating an MVP! This week, we hit a little bump in the road, and I thought it would be helpful to share, as it’s something I think can be relatable in any field. At the start of the program, my team and I identified a problem in the gifting space and developed a product idea we thought was super niche. Initially, we couldn’t find anything quite like it, so I felt super passionate about what we were building. 🎉 However, during some deeper market research for our upcoming Mid-Point demo, I discovered two products from 2019 and 2020 solving the same issue!! One of them even just secured $32M in seed funding! 😭 😭 😭 Naturally, I felt a bit defeated, thinking our idea wasn’t as groundbreaking and innovative as we thought. But after reflecting with friends and family, I realized this discovery actually confirmed we’re on the right path. Almost every successful idea has a direct competitor: Lyft vs. Uber, Afterpay vs. Klarna, Airbnb vs. VRBO. Our challenge now is to figure out how we differentiate. It’s not the end—it’s the start of an exciting journey. We now have something to compare ourselves to, and this gives us a chance to focus on making our product stand out. Competition pushes us to think more strategically and pinpoint what makes our solution unique in the gifting space. (I even get to put my Branding hat on a little here!) Just a reminder that when you’re feeling defeated, sometimes all you need is a quick breather 😤 and a shift in mindset to discover an even more exciting path forward. Pivoting and redirecting has been a huge part of this process, and it's been a great lesson I’ll continue to take with me in both work and life! #innovation #product #problemsolving #redirection #grit

Day 6 into PM Hackathon: Defining Success – The Metrics that Matter! 🚀 As we move towards the final day of the PM Hackathon, it’s time to zoom in on success metrics. Why? Because without clear measures, we’re just guessing! Defining success is crucial for aligning our team, tracking meaningful progress, and, most importantly, creating impact for our users and Uber. Our Metrics for a Concert-Ready Uber Experience North Star Metric:-User Retention Rate: There's an old adage, "the north star guides the traveler." For me, the North Star Metric is making Uber the best choice for people going to concerts-for getting them a great experience that will bring them back again and again. And the User Retention Rate will be the guiding light driving us toward value. KPIs: 1. User Success: 30% decline in average wait times: Our objective is to be able to bring fans a quick ride during our peak hours, with a mean wait time as low as possible. 2. Business Health: 20% rise in Revenue per Active User (RPU): Convenience and efficiency will not only make the user smile, but it will also ensure a healthier bottom line. 3. Product Quality: User Satisfaction Score of 4.5+ : We must be able to provide the best experience for concert days that could thus translate into scores of very high satisfaction scores. Top Insight: Uber's concert day operations are something that can actually be revolutionized through demand forecasting. It is possible to break routes at multiple points and surging can also be adjusted dynamically. This insight proved a game-changer in our strategy! 🚀 Week 3 at Skillswap- Crafting Our Product Strategy! Kicking off Week 3 of building Skillswap, and it’s all about laying down the foundations with a solid product strategy. This week, my focus is on crafting our Vision Statement and Roadmap which is the guiding northstar that will keep us aligned and on course throughout this journey, with lots of brainstorming and ideation sessions. We’re working on nailing down a vision that captures what Skillswap is all about, a platform that empowers individuals to share, learn, and grow through skill exchange. Our goal is to create a community where knowledge flows freely, and everyone has the opportunity to circumvent the high cost of skills and labour aquisition. Imagine a world where, rather than paying for services, you get it for free just by giving your skill in return. I am excited just thinking about it! With the vision in place, we’re diving into the roadmap, mapping out key milestones, features, and timelines, ensuring we stay true to our vision while delivering real value to our users. Crafting a strategy isn’t just about what looks good on paper. For me, it’s also about collaborating with my incredible team of developers, designers, and stakeholders to make sure we’re all on the same page.
