🚨 Attention Hospitality Businesses! 🚨 New food waste legislation is on the way as part of the Simpler Recycling Scheme! 🍽️♻️ Starting soon, hospitality businesses across the country will be required to arrange separate collection services for food waste. This initiative aims to streamline food waste recycling, making it more eco-friendly through anaerobic digestion, which turns food waste into valuable resources like biogas and organic fertilisers. If your business produces food waste and has 10 or more full-time employees, the deadline to comply is March 31, 2025. Smaller businesses will have until March 31, 2027 to prepare. Don’t wait! Ensure your business is ready to comply with these changes and make a positive environmental impact. 🌍🍃 Got questions? 🌍 Why Choose the Electric Composter? As we face mounting environmental challenges, addressing food waste has never been more crucial. In Europe alone, an estimated 88 million tonnes of food are wasted annually, representing about 20% of all food produced. This significant issue demands innovative solutions, and the electric composter is one such game-changer. 🔍 Key Food Waste Facts: 1. Environmental Impact: Food waste is a major environmental and social problem. 2. Traditional Methods: Landfill and incineration negatively impact the environment. 3. Sustainable Practices: Many countries are advocating for food waste reduction and repurposing it as fertilizer. 4. Market Solutions: Leading brands like Lome, Vitamix and Sage offer food cycler products, starting at $400 USD. 🔧 Food Waste Policies Worldwide: 1. Asia: Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and Singapore have strict systems for collecting and recycling food waste from all sources. 2. Europe & America: 70% of people are reducing food waste and promoting composting for environmental protection. 3. UK: The government collects food waste for electricity generation. In short, the global community is increasingly focused on transforming food waste into valuable resources like fertilizer and rich soil. The electric composter is not just a tool; it's a commitment to a sustainable future. As an Electric Composter manufacturer in China - Koeda, we are also committed to contributing to the global environmental protection cause. 🌱💡 Let's take action and make a difference. 🌱💡 🌱💡Come On!!!🌱💡 #Koeda #Sustainability #FoodWaste #EnvironmentalProtection #ElectricComposter #GreenTech #CircularEconomy #EcoFriendly #Innovation #WasteReduction #ClimateAction

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 Food waste is one of the most pressing global issues, with significant environmental, economic, and social implications. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) estimates that about one-third of all food produced for human consumption is lost or wasted annually, amounting to roughly 1.3 billion tons. This waste occurs across the entire food supply chain—from production and processing to retail and consumption. The environmental impact of food waste is enormous, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and water waste. In response to these challenges, the food waste management market has grown rapidly, driven by increasing awareness of the need for sustainable practices and the implementation of more stringent regulations. This article explores the key aspects of the food waste management market, including current trends, innovations, major players, challenges, and future prospects. Where is Your Food Waste Going? Food waste - it is unavoidable, but is it unredeemable? Waste occurs at every point in the food cycle with household waste matching the entire food distribution and processing system’s waste. The question for today is: where does that food waste go? There are means of disposal being employed that stress our environmental resources: · landfills · garburator (water-based disposal) · composting without methane recapture. There are also positive efforts being made which redirect food sustainably including: · selling food near its expiry date at reduced rates · donating near expiry dated food · composting with methane recapture · collection for processing into biofuel (Davidson Environmental’s specialty) The difference is in the decision making, partnership building and intentionality. The challenge today: How will you help make the shift towards sustainable diversion of surplus food? https://lnkd.in/gK7hUyBU https://lnkd.in/gK7hUyBU #environment #reducecarbon #wastemanagement #savetheenvironment #landfill #greenhousegas #Biogas #WasteManagement #WasteAwareness #Environmental #environmentalsustainability #reducewaste #foodwastefriday #urbansustainability #sustainabilitygoals

It's that time of year again! Nope, not Christmas yet—it's the European Week of Waste Reduction! 🗑️🚫 Kicking off on November 16th, the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) promotes awareness of sustainable resource and waste management. We wholeheartedly support and share their mission: REDUCE consumption, REUSE materials, and RECYCLE waste. 👏 This year’s focus is on Food Waste. Did you know that EU countries produce over 59.2 million tonnes of food waste annually—about 132 kg per person? The economic impact of food waste in Europe alone is estimated at 132 billion euros. Furthermore, food waste contributes to greenhouse gas emissions linked to cropland, freshwater usage, and fertilizers used in food production. Let's make sustainable choices together as we only have one Earth—it all starts with our daily decisions. Check out the EWWR website for valuable resources. #Kuusakoski #KuusakoskiRecycling #EWWR #FoodWaste #CircularEconomy

🌱 The Urgency of Tackling Food Waste for a Sustainable Future 🌍 Did you know that 1/3 of the food produced globally is lost or wasted? That’s roughly 1.3 billion tons of food each year. This represents a massive waste of resources; water, energy, labour, and capital, and contributes to about 8-10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. While food waste happens at every stage of the supply chain, from farm to fork, there are real solutions we can all contribute to, both as businesses and consumers. At Grains & Oil, we’re committed to making a difference by: 🔄 Providing a market for “imperfect” produce often rejected by traditional retailers—this produce is still nutritious and delicious but looks different. ♻️ Connect farmers to biogas producers who can turn spoilt food into renewable energy, further reducing waste while contributing to the green energy revolution. 💡 Promoting circular economy practices where nothing goes to waste. Every part of the food system is utilized for value creation, whether as food or energy. As individuals, we can also take small steps to make a big difference: Plan meals and avoid over-purchasing. Embrace imperfect produce. Compost food scraps. Let’s take action now to reduce food waste and help create a more sustainable and food-secure future for everyone. Together, we can turn waste into opportunity. 🌍🌱 Connect with us to be part of our journey. #Sustainability #FoodWaste #CircularEconomy #GrainsAndOil #Biogas #EcoFriendly #FarmToFork
