TheraCal PT and TheraCal LC share some of the same indications for use, however we recommend you use TheraCal PT for pulpotomies and use TheraCal LC as a liner and for direct and indirect pulp capping. The comprehensive data package generated in our research on various aspect shows a result where we are proud to say that our polymer prefilled syringe SCHOTT TOPPAC® freeze can withstand even deep-cold temperatures. Our main conclusions: ● All normal functions of the syringe are maintained even when stored at deep-cold temperatures. ● COC syringes can maintain the Container Closure Integrity down to – 𝟏𝟎𝟎 °𝐂, as the coefficients of thermal expansion of the different syringe components are similar. ● Cross-linked siliconization provides excellent performance for leachable silicone oil quantities and subvisible particles. This reduces the risk of drug interactions and loss of efficacy. ● Plunger movement does not breach the PFS sterile barrier, but understanding the syringe and fill-and-finishing parameters that have an impact helps to control this phenomenon. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) 4-88 was identified as an effective binder during TSWG, but the potential of other PVA grades—differing in polymerization and hydrolysis degree—has not yet been studied. Therefore, the aim of the current study was to evaluate the potential of different PVA grades as a binder during TSWG. The breakage and drying behavior during the fluidized bed drying of drug-loaded granules containing the PVA grades was also studied. #excipient #pva #wetgranulation
