Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions: What are the primary benefits provided by this program? Startups receive expert mentoring, access to the American and Israeli business ecosystems, connections to a network of international investors, and practical steps for scaling beyond borders. What commitments are expected from the participating startups? Participants are fully engaged in the program's activities, attend all sessions, and actively collaborate with mentors and peers. What support is provided post-completion to ensure long-term success? After the program, startups continue to receive guidance and support through our extensive network to ensure sustainable growth and success. Are there any financial obligations or equity requirements for participating startups? There is a $12,000 entry fee, which can be covered by CzechInvest for qualifying startups. There are no equity requirements. Can you briefly describe the structure of the program? After initial few weeks of orientation, the program includes a week-long intensive in-person acceleration in Israel, ending with a final presentation. When you think of startups, which location comes to mind straight away? For most, it's the Silicon Valley 🇺🇸 According to a recent ranking from the Financial Times, Sifted and Statista, the UK boasts more startups than any other country in Europe. Data showed, out of the 125 incubators: 24 in the UK 🇬🇧 (all in London, the VC Hub) 16 in Germany 🇩🇪 15 in Spain 🇪🇸 Interestingly, most of Europe's promising startups are linked to universities, with founders further criticising universities for demanding too high an equity stake in any university spinouts, suppressing the value for other potential investors, which can affect the potential of such companies reaching a global scale. It seems we need a bigger pool of growth capital in Europe to build more promising startups. ***Advancing in our selection of startups*** We opened our first cohort at Danta Fund, on May this year and we received 23 applications from all over Latin America: #costarica, #chile, #mexico, #colombia and #argentina. We were surprised by the diverse solutions being proposed from our region and the talent we knew we have in our countries. 80% of the solutions proposed by the applicants were science based (hardware) 20% of the teams were diversed (we need to see more #diversity in #latam, that's for sure) 👩🔬 👨🔬 70% of the startups were in their pre-seed stage and 30% of them were in their seed stage 8 startups advanced to the second stage of our selection: the analysis thereinafter was made by our Scientific Committee (Chad Zimmerman, Oscar Espinosa Mijares, Yendry Regina Corrales Ureña, Shawna Lemke, PhD, Rishi Masalia Federico Zamora-Cavallini) Their dataroom was thoroughly reviewed and scored according to the strenght of their team, the commercial and scientific feasibility of their solution and the effort they made to validate their business plan with clients or potential clients 4 startups made it to the final interviews with the Scientific Committee 2 startups made it to interviews with our Investment Committee (Roberto E.
