𝗦𝗣𝗘 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲|🌟Harnessing Diversity for a Brighter Future: Celebrating International Women's Day with the International Society of Petroleum Engineers🌟 On International Women's Day, let's discuss Diversity and Inclusion in the Petroleum industry, where inclusion drives innovation and sustainability. Celebrating women's achievements, it's crucial to reflect on the journey toward gender equality in oil and gas. 🌍Facts and Figures: Globally, women constitute 22% of the oil and gas industry workforce. However, gender diversity diminishes at higher levels, with only 17% in senior and executive roles, and a mere 1% reaching the CEO position (Catalyst, 2020). 💼Business Benefits of Diversity: Diversity is not just about equality but is a strategic move for financial success. Companies with women leaders can see a bottom-line boost of up to 6% (Peterson Institute for International Economics). 🚀Striving for Inclusivity: Progress is underway, but achieving genuine diversity in the oil and gas industry requires companies to foster environments that attract, retain, and fully promote female talent. 🌟Embracing a Future of Inclusion and Empowerment: Organizations are crucial in achieving gender parity. The theme for International Women's Day 2024, "Inspire Inclusion," aims to break barriers for a thriving industry where diversity flourishes. Let's forge an inclusive world, shaping a landscape where diversity thrives International Women's Day 2024 (internationalwomensday.com) 🔗 [Watch the Panel Discussion at SPE Energy Stream] https://lnkd.in/eJu2Nq4Q Engage with a "Push Like, Comment, Repost" to unite for idea exchange, inspire change, and break the glass ceiling for equity and inclusion in the oil and gas sector. 🌍👩💼 Happy International Women’s Day! 👩💼🌍 This year’s theme - ‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress’ - underscores the importance of investing in women’s potential to drive sustainable growth and innovation. It highlights the urgent need to close the #gendergap in all sectors, particularly in sustainability, where women’s contributions are pivotal yet often overlooked. Key facts: 👩🔬🌿 Women account for 32% of the renewable energy workforce, significantly higher than the 22% average for women in oil and gas. They are also pioneering climate change solutions. (Source: International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)) 💼💰 Companies with more women in leadership positions are more likely to prioritize environmental concerns, showing the importance of gender diversity in driving sustainable practices. (Source: Peterson Institute for International Economics) 🌎🌳 Women are disproportionately affected by climate change, especially in developing countries. Yet, they are also at the forefront of innovative solutions, from sustainable farming practices to renewable energy projects. (Source: UN Women) This International Women’s Day, let’s recognize the vital role that women play in sustainability and continue to push for gender equality in all sectors. Because when women thrive, the planet thrives. 🌍💚 #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2024 #WomenInSustainability #GenderEquality

"Inspire Inclusion" - that's the 2024 campaign theme for International Women's Day, celebrated annually on 8 March to recognise the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The theme reflects the goal of encouraging everyone, regardless of gender, to better understand and embrace the goal of women, for inclusion and being seen as equals. In 2023, women make up only 29.2% of the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) workforce in 146 countries surveyed, compared to nearly 50% in non-STEM occupations. The under-representation of women is also reflected in the wind industry and within the Nordex Group. As a company, we still have some way to go to become more diverse and to attract, recruit, develop, promote and retain more women. But we are on our way! By committing ourselves to increasing the proportion of female employees, by continuously raising awareness - and today, with various actions and initiatives in various countries of the Nordex Group to celebrate and recognise the 1878 women around the world who are an important and valued part of the global #TeamNordex. "Inspire Inclusion" is not only the theme of this year's International Women's Day, but also an important motto to keep in mind every other day, in 2024 and beyond. Hello everyone! My latest article in The Astana Times, titled "Two Pillars of Progress: Energy Resource Management Can’t Be Efficient Without Female Empowerment," dives into an issue that continues to bother me: why is the energy sector still so male-dominated? Despite all the progress we’ve made, women face countless barriers in this field, from entering it to advancing into leadership roles. It’s frustrating because the numbers show that gender parity in sectors like energy could really boost economic growth - by 23% in Central Asia alone. But more than that, empowering women in this space could bring fresh perspectives and much-needed solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges, like climate change. I poured a lot of thought into this article, and I’d love for you to check it out and share your thoughts. It’s not just about stats - it’s about real lives and opportunities we could be unlocking if we get this right. Here's the link: https://lnkd.in/d9Vt6Fu7 Thank you for taking the time. #FemaleEmpowerment #EnergySector #Sustainability #WomenInSTEM #GenderEquality #InclusiveGrowth #CentralAsia #CleanEnergy

As we celebrate International Women's Day this Friday, let's unite under the powerful theme of "Inspire Inclusion". When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we collectively forge a better world. It's more than a celebration; it's a commitment to fostering an environment where every woman's voice is not only heard but celebrated. Inclusion is a catalyst for positive change. When women feel included, a sense of belonging and relevance, empowerment permeates every aspect of our lives. It's not just about numbers; it's about creating spaces where diversity thrives, and every woman's unique perspective contributes to the collective strength of our global community. At io we encourage everyone to share stories that inspire, highlight achievements that break barriers, and champion initiatives that amplify women's voices not only in male-dominated industries but across all of them. As it is our duty to be genuinely inclusive, joining efforts for women’s advancement, visibility and respect to make a difference and positive impact. Therefore, at io we embrace gender equity, inspiring the new and younger brilliant minds joining our industry by ensuring a 1:1 female-to-male ratio of engineers in our graduate development training cohort. This International Women’s Day let's leverage the power of inspiration to bridge gaps, shatter stereotypes and cultivate a culture where inclusion isn't just a buzzword but a way of life. Together, we can build a world where women are not just included but are catalysts for positive change. #InspireInclusion #IWD2024 #EmpowerWomen #GlobalInclusion #embraceequity #womeninengineering #womeninscience #women #womenempowerment #togetherwethrive #STEM #climatechange #sustainability #diversityandinclusion #collaboration #iocertainty #energytransition #energy #renewableenergy #hydrogen #energystorage #oilgas

Many years ago, I had gone to a meeting where I was the only female leader. I had taken a seat toward the end of a large conference table. During a break, a senior male colleague approached me and said how awful it was. “The meeting?,” I said. “Yes, it’s a tough one.” He said, “No, that there aren’t more women in the room. We can do better.” It was such a brief encounter that I’d be surprised if he remembered this bit of #allyship, but I’ll never forget that moment. It was helpful reinforcement that women belonged in every room where decisions were being made. I’m sharing this story as we begin Women’s History Month because even now, with all the progress we’ve made, there are clear indicators that women’s rights are being eroded. Achieving gender #equality is more vital than ever – and ample research suggests that this is truly the way to secure just societies, prosperous economies, and a healthy planet for future generations. I’m proud to be the sponsor of Ellxvate, our women’s employee resource group, and look forward to celebrating this day and the theme for Women’s History Month: Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress. At ENGIE Impact, we’re fully committed to a healthy and equitable workplace – and it will take all of us to achieve it. Together, we can make sure that everyone is represented in the room and has a seat at the table. ENGIE ENGIE Impact #internationalwomensday #internationalwomensday2024 #inspireinclusion #iwd2024

👩 Happy International Women’s Day - to all the women across the globe and, most importantly, to the women leading many important initiatives here at CORE Markets - pictured below with a few notable absentees! The space that we work in, like many others, is still often male-dominated and we collectively have a long way to go. It’s encouraging however to see a growing female participation the renewable energy, carbon and climate technology sectors – a positive and critical shift that we continue to support. So as our team continues to grow, so too will the gender balance within our own organisation. We spoke to some of our team on the eve of International Women’s Day about their experience working in the industry: “I’ve recently joined CORE Markets as the first female in the markets team. The difference in gender numbers is still real in the industry, but not when it comes to opportunities I'm seeing.” “It's an honour to work with a team that's always adapting to new requirements as we grow and creating means of sustainability. I encourage other women to consider joining this dynamic space.” #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInSustainability #Resilience #Leadership #SustainableFuture

Today is International Women’s Day. This year’s theme, ‘Invest in women: Accelerate progress’, brings into focus the immense pressure placed on communities around the world by multiple unfolding crises, and how empowering and investing in women will accelerate the green energy transition. At Corio Generation, we are working to provide communities with clean, reliable and affordable renewable energy. We are incredibly proud of all the women who are leading the way in designing, developing and helping to deliver offshore wind farms across Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Americas. Krishna Sidhpura, our Head of Human Resources says: “We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can feel empowered to make a positive impact. “Empowering women isn’t just a moral imperative. It’s a strategic investment in a brighter, more equitable future for all of us. At Corio Generation our leadership team understand this and has made equity and inclusion a way we do business. “In order to address the crises that this year’s International Women’s Day acknowledges, we believe it is essential that the energy sector continues to invest in women and to champion gender equality.” 🖱 Find out more about International Women’s Day: https://lnkd.in/eeK83DXU #InvestInWomen #InternationalWomensDay #WindPower #WomenInWind #OffshoreWind
