Had a blast on Friday coaching this powerful group of women! When I facilitate a workshop for a group, I teach a simple and powerful self-awareness tool, and then I coach women in the room 1:1 with everyone watching. On Friday, we coached about showing up in our power to communicate with managers who aren't...how to put this delicately..."natural listeners." We coached about the difference it makes in our actions when our internal self-talk is "I am a person who always gets flustered." vs. "This is just the part of the story when I feel a little anxiety before a big meeting." It NEVER ceases to amaze me how many nodding heads I see from the women witnessing someone else being coached. We have SUCH similar thought patterns. SUCH similar fears. Become aware of and knowing exactly what to do with your thought patterns is what differentiates... leaders who can create the exact results they want with ease vs. leaders who may still get amazing results...but end up exhausted and burned out. And the fix is not hard. I want to shout this from the rooftops to all women. You do not have to keep doing life the hard way. You're just used to it. But you don't have to keep doing it.
