Recently, in the House of Commons, we launched our new report, ‘Improving access to healthcare via the workplace’, in partnership with the Purpose Coalition, on the role of business in improving access to healthcare. With one in three people set to develop a long-term health condition throughout their lives and 2.8 million people currently economically inactive due to long term sickness, the need for action is urgent. The report sets out the measures to make healthcare more accessible via the workplace, helping people stay well and productive at work. Find out more and read the full report on our recommendations for how to make it easier for businesses to reverse the workforce sickness epidemic and reduce economic inactivity here: https://lnkd.in/e4BwZx-s

Here's another article predicting the next years increase in health care cost. This one predicts it will be 8%, the highest in a decade. An an employer, what do you do? Continue with the status quo BUCA plan you have now and increase copays and deductibles? Shift more cost to employees? Absorb the increase? None of these sound like great ideas. Many employees are functionally uninsured now because they can't afford their deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums. How about changing your approach to your employee health plan? Maybe considering a plan that can enable you to actually increase benefits, reduce deductibles and out-of-pocket costs, deliver higher quality health care, and reduce your costs? And no, it's not a unicorn. There employers that are already embracing these plans with great success. If you current broker hasn't advised you how to do this, please reach out to me. I'll be glad to review your opptions to see if something like this would work for you. It's happening. Can you afford to be a late adopter?

It's an ironic truth: Healthcare professionals, dedicated to healing others, often neglect their own health. Despite their deep knowledge of medicine, they can face higher healthcare costs, increased stress from long shifts and greater risk of workplace injuries compared to the broader workforce. Benefits experts can reverse this trend by helping healthcare institutions drive proper benefits utilization, educate on wellness, tackle administrative challenges and provide employees access to benefits advocates. No matter the size or type of your healthcare organization, offering top-notch benefits to your staff is essential. Let’s ensure those who care for us receive the care they deserve.
