For FY 2025 #CMS proposed to increase payments for skilled #nursingfacilities by 4.1 percent, or $1.3 billion. It also proposed to increase its #LTC #enforcement authorities to allow: (1) for multiple per instance #CMPs to be imposed for the same type of noncompliance; (2) for both per day and per instance CMPs to be imposed for noncompliance findings in the same survey; and (3) a three-standard-survey lookback period. https://lnkd.in/gTEA4XtM

From March, the NDIA are taking longer to process payments for providers and participants to allow more time to adequately check the claim for signs of fraudulence and/or non-compliance. Payment processing times may take a few days longer that usual. Claims that need further investigation could potentially take up to 10 days to be processed. To ensure your invoices are processed as quickly as possible, here are some helpful tips from the NDIA: Invoices should contain: Provider’s NDIS business name where applicable Provider’s ABN where applicable Participant’s name and NDIS number Support item number listed in the NDIS Support Catalogue Amount and quantity claimed for each unit of the support provided for example, $51.09 each x 2 units Date/s the support was delivered Total invoice amount GST component if applicable (most services are GST free). *An invoice can only be for one participant, but can include multiple supports #NDIA #NDIS #NDISNews #NDISProvider #NDISPerth #NDISSupportCoordination #SupportCoordinator #NDISRegisteredProvider #SupportCoordination #SupportCooordinationPerth #OccupationalTherapy #OT #NDISTips6d

As an NDIS provider, there is a lot you need to do to stay compliant with Australian rules and regulations. From service agreements, invoicing and incident reporting to making claims and records keeping, you are responsible for tracking and managing multiple aspects of your business. For example, an NDIS claim should include the right participant, correct rate, exact support provided along with line item and correct date. While all this sounds like you’ll be buried in paperwork, CTARS makes this easy for you by tracking all your day-to-day activities in one central, cloud-based dashboard. This means, no manual paperwork, no spending hours on processes and more time to look after the participants who are depending on you. #ndiscsoftware Follow us on: https://lnkd.in/ge4BSE_Q

For the last 6 months Talk Back Radio, particularly in Sydney has been lighting up about cost blow out's and rogue providers within the NDIS. This morning alone Ben Fordham and Ray Hadley have headlined their programs about the same subject. As sure as night follows day greater scrutiny will be on us all. Of course the majority of Providers are doing a tremendous job however increasingly all providers will need to look at efficiency gains to not only streamline costs but protect their own bottom lines. You can't run a good service in any business unless you are making money. Isn't now is a great time to consider outsourcing? www.anchorhub.com.au #ndisregisteredprovider #ndis #outsourcingsolutions #outsourcingsuccess

Those with an eye on the NDIS space will know there is legislation before the government that will make changes to the NDIS that will result in savings and Mr Bill Shorten is saying delays in approving this legislation will cost $1BN or more. I've tried to understand where these savings will come from. As far as I can understand most of the savings will come from clamping down on automatic top ups of NDIS plans. These review requests are more commonly known as "Change of Circumstances" requests. Where supports are increased due to change of circumstances and a review is requested. Mr Shorten roughly describes these situations as dishonest providers encouraging clients to overspend to get automatic top up, and a loophole in the system that needs closing. I believe the outstanding review requests have approached 50000+. The NDIA are getting about 2500 of these requests per day. If you have an outstanding plan review request, I would be concerned. I believe that when this legislation is passed many of these outstanding review requests will be labelled as "automatic top-ups" and the requests denied and savings achieved. I think the cost clock that Mr Shorten uses to coerce the other parties, is likely those plans review requests that are being slowly approved, and hence "costing" the government. (*I am a little confused about what is happening exactly, but if the above is close to the mark... it looks worrying)
