“Which Cognitive Colour is the hardest to manage?” Um…all of them? Behaviour is emotion x skill. Good behaviour is when we have the skills to handle our emotion. Bad behaviour is simply when someone’s emotions outstrip their skills. Everyone can and does engage in the “Dirty Dozen” workplace behaviours below. The only difference between us is why we do them. Once you learn why - you can learn why not. It’s the first step to building the skills that will serve you - and those who ask me which Colour is the hardest to manage. #EmotionalIntelligence #WorkplaceEQ #Behaviour

Emotional Intelligence Behaviors At Work Lately, I’ve come across numerous posts discussing workplace challenges. From what I’ve seen and experienced over the years, most of these issues can be traced back to one thing: a lack of emotional intelligence. While I can’t claim to have an exhaustive list of these challenges, I did come across something that captures a significant portion of the behaviors I've observed (and lived through!) in various professional environments. If you find this helpful, feel free to like, comment, or share—it might just reach someone who needs it! #EmotionalIntelligence #WorkplaceWellness #EI #selfimprovement #PeopleManagement #abhyuk

Asking for a friend… 🤔 Ever felt like you’ve changed a bit to fit into a workplace? Maybe you start picking up on the culture, tweaking how you present yourself, just to align with the environment. Here’s the catch: those little adjustments can become who you are, and not always in ways you want. According to psychology: We all crave social acceptance and fear standing out. We experience cognitive dissonance when our true selves clash with expectations. We use impression management to fit in—but over time, it’s hard to switch off the "act." The behaviors we adopt to "fit in" can become permanent. #WorkplacePsychology #AskingForAFriend #PersonalGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment

𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐬-𝐃𝐨𝐝𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐰 Arousal theory suggests that individuals seek to maintain an optimal level of arousal, varying based on task complexity and individual differences. 𝘉𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴, 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘺𝘦𝘦𝘴' 𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘭 𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘴, 𝘦𝘯𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵. The Yerkes-Dodson Law further illustrates that performance improves with increasing arousal levels, but only up to a point. Beyond this optimal level, performance declines. Implementing strategies such as relaxation techniques, goal-setting, and tailored training programs can help employees maintain optimal arousal levels, fostering a productive and supportive work culture.
