It has been a week since #AWSreInvent and I’m still reeling from all the exciting updates. These are some of the highlights in the partnerships space: ✳️ Amazon Web Services (AWS) is unifying direct and sales channels with the Buy with AWS button, which will help buyers transact directly from the seller’s website using their AWS account details ✳️ Amazon Web Services (AWS) is motivating its sellers to work with partners of all sizes for co-selling ✳️ Incentives for the Migration Acceleration Program are no longer capped ✳️ With increasing AI adoption, AI Security is now a top priority, with a dedicated marketplace category. In his feature with CRN, Matt Garman said partners are “co-innovators”. This marks an exciting shift. AWS is doubling down on partnerships, setting the stage for 2025 to be a monumental year for ISVs, buyers, and the entire AWS ecosystem. There’s never been a better time to get on the marketplace. As we kick off #GoogleCloudNext in Las Vegas, this event also coincides with my 1 year anniversary at Google. Having joined just as the generative AI boom started, it’s been incredible to watch the pace of product innovation here at Google Cloud — which is now on full display at Next. There is so much to be proud of, but I will highlight a few examples on how we are leading the industry in providing AI assistance for customers: - Full Codebase Awareness in Gemini Code Assist, to perform large-scale changes across your entire codebase powered by the industry-leading large context window support in Gemini 1.5 Pro - Code Customization in Gemini Code Assist, to connect private codebases to Code Assist so it can provide context-aware code generation, allowing developers to get AI assistance that incorporates private libraries and best practices - The new Gemini Cloud Assist which helps you craft new designs, deploy workloads, manage applications, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance and costs — providing AI assistance throughout the entire application lifecycle.
