It’s #TestimonialTuesday time with our clients Aeros Flight Training and the success they achieved with Pentlands. Aeros, established in 1986, are the UK’s leading modular flight training school, offering a range of training for commercial, airline transport and private pilot licenses. With academies operating in Cardiff, Coventry, Gloucester, Wellesbourne and Doncaster. “Aeros had been with their previous accountancy firm for over a decade, and I felt their focus had slipped. We were not getting the appropriate level of service and there was a lack of communication. They left the filing of the accounts until the 11th hour which made us feel extremely nervous. The decision to move to was daunting, but Pentlands really stood out from the other firms, they made the process feel simple. Elinor is easy to connect with, she knows her stuff when it comes to accountancy and the Pentlands team have experience of our industry. What appealed was that Pentlands offer much more then preparing accounts. They can support in the growth of the business, provide Tax advice, helps us to explore exit strategies and more... In the first year of working with Pentlands they excelled beyond expectation. They worked closely with us and liaised with our former accountant. Jacob kept us informed at every step of the process. In addition, we had had a successful year and wanted the accounts filed promptly so that we could take advantage of the position. So, not only did they ensure a smooth transition from one firm to the other, but they also filed the accounts 3 months ahead of the deadline. In changing accountants you’d anticipate some hiccups along the way, but with Pentlands there weren’t any. If you are filled with trepidation at the thought of moving accountants, you’ll find with Pentlands you have nothing to worry about. “….inclusivity is vital in today's evolving workplace…” Thanks Anna Kate Phelan from Eintech for talking about ICB UK (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) in your latest PQ Magazine blog - “With 78% of ICB members being women, the flexibility that a career in bookkeeping offers is a significant factor. “Online and on-demand exams attract a diverse pool of students and members, including parents with caring responsibilities and individuals with neurodivergent conditions. This inclusivity is vital in today's evolving workplace, where balancing professional aspirations with personal commitments is often a challenge. “As technology drives every industry forward at an unprecedented rate, it is crucial that equity and inclusion develop in parallel. By embracing these values, the ICB ensures that everyone is brought along for the ride, fostering a diverse and dynamic profession. This forward-thinking approach not only benefits individual bookkeepers but also strengthens the entire industry - and the wider economy.” Sobi Hariharan C.ICB Graham Hambly
The new PQ Magazine is here! In this issue, Anna Kate Phelan talks about a recent visit to our office from Ami Copeland, the inspiring CEO of ICB UK (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers). 🏆 Rothana’s Approach to Recognitions: Excellence Over Everything 🏆 At Rothana awards and recognition are more than just titles—they’re a reflection of our values, integrity, and genuine contribution. That’s why we’ve set a clear path in accepting any honor. Here’s a look at how we choose to keep it real and impactful. 🌟✨ 1️⃣ Credibility First We only consider awards from respected organizations that select based on merit, not financial exchanges. A credible award should be based on real achievements, with a judging panel that truly understands industry standards. 🕊️💯 2️⃣ Merit Over Money 💸 An award must represent appreciation of our work, not something we pay to receive. Our focus is on transparent processes and real contributions to the field—money should never influence recognition. 🚫💵 3️⃣ Meaningful Impact 🫱🏽🫲🏼 The best awards are those that align with Rothana’s mission, pushing industry growth forward. We choose recognitions that value our clients, partners, and communities and showcase the difference we’re making. 🌍🤝💡 4️⃣ Transparent Reach 📢 A credible platform matters! We prioritize recognitions from reputable sources with a significant, transparent audience. This ensures the honor represents our genuine value to a meaningful community. 📈🌐 Our Commitment to Authenticity 🛡️ Every award, before acceptance, goes through a final review to ensure it matches Rothana’s principles. By staying true to these standards, we’re honoring not just the title but the trust and integrity behind it. 🤝🕊️ By sharing this approach, we’re standing firm in our commitment to earn genuine respect, uphold excellence, and embrace only those recognitions that celebrate real impact. 🙌✨ 💬 How do you ensure credibility and value in the recognitions you accept? Drop a comment and let’s share insights on maintaining integrity in the industry! 👇 #Excellence #Integrity #RothanaValues #RealImpact #Awards #CommitmentToQuality #IndustryStandards
